I have a suggestions thread that is all about swords, their looks, and how they can be improved.
This would be an addition to vanilla, so it might satisfy your needs based on looks, enchants, and durability!

The So called 1.3.2 Download is still giving 1.2.5 you should look in to that

you have failed to read where the download says it sayd 1.3.2 not 1.2.5
The So called 1.3.2 Download is still giving 1.2.5 you should look in to that
i don't consider this as spam it is helpful and allows me to say how my mod works again.
the way my mod works is unchanged by all versions of minecraft. for example the 1.0 version works in 1.3.2 and so do all other versions. the problem with this is that i have to wait for my dependencies to update to. at the moment both xies mod and minecraft forge are up to date so my mod works.
one thing to note is that xies mod is in preliminary updates at the moment and i have decided to port the mod over to a system that only uses forge and will not work with every version of minecraft. it has become apparent that the current system causes confusion and i don't want that. i have made the new 1.3.2 version and am currently adding some easter eggs. the new version contains things like new crafting recipes and new effects for all of the swords. i have also changed a LOT of the other features. i would like if somebody could make a video demonstrating the new changes

so at the moment the way the mods work is rather simple. you need to install minecraft forge as normal and then add the contents of xiemod.zip into the mods folder. then you need to extract my mod and go down the file path until you see a darkhax folder. drag the darkhax folder into the content folder. if the textures don't appear then their is an issue with the file paths.
i would recommend waiting an hour or two for a stable release to come out.
as promised http://adf.ly/DV1Fv (moreswordsmod 2.0 prerelease) it is recomended to use this mod with not enough items or another mod that adds recipe lookup and spawning of items that are NOT in the creative menue.
some things to note. this mod requires the latest version of minecraft forge. it does NOT require minecraft forge. simply place the zip in the mods folder like you would with most other mods.
i would also like to recommend playing with sounds on and if you are going to play with the experimental sword i warn that you may want to have a good computer to use it.
also as a side note. all swords on previous maps have been deleted.

added 3 new items to the dungeon loot system.(they are as rare as golden apples)
converted mod to java
added easter egg/ability to master sword.
this is just the first update. i should be updating again shortly. (this update is for spp and smp )

their is a beta for xiemod 1.3.2 so in the meantime you could get a version of this up and running

yes the master sword is from the legend of zelda. in the next update (later today) their will be a secret you can perform with it
