When I download the 1.2.1 version the folder in the mods folder says 1.2.0. Just wondering if that has been changed. I still am having the issue with mobs freezing up.
with the new update it seems all mob movement is glitched. Most animals just spazz out others move at odd angles. The pison spazzs out when punched. Some mobs, whales for example, don't move at all. Also, there seems to be a new species of whale. Was that the secret? Other than that beehives all go to one location when spawned with a "spawn beehive egg". Thats just what i noticed when i started playing around with the mod. I also noticed that no mobs were spawning unless used with a spawn egg.
Ok, im currently on my ipod so i cant take action. Maybe something went wrong with copying files to the new version. Ill retry to upload tomorrow. I dont have any of the mentioned problems. Also make sure that you uninstalled the beta.
Ok so I was thinking.... what if Forge itself changed loads of stuff? And guess what? They did. So I will manage imports and re-upload the mod soon with the new recommended Forge as a requirement.
Ok so I fixed most stuff It works now! Bisons dont attack in Peaceful mode btw. Uninstall the beta before installing v1.2.2!! Information on the update is now finally in the OP. The wiki will get updated over time. Most mob info is in there already. The config file is better organised now! Have some patience for the MSC default configs!
Love your mobs, but. After a few minutes the freezing and glitchy mobs start, it seems to be all mobs. Atmos mod removed mobs are fine. All other game play seems fine. I am getting swarmed by bees and it seems that a pigeon has fallen in love with me. Using the latest 1.2.2 version with Forge 445.

Damn... it still occurs? I will have to continue research on this problem. It probably has to do with the amount of mobs.
Btw have you ever installed this before? If so, please remove the older version.
EDIT: Just spawned in +/- 200 mobs and I don't get this problem :/

The older version is removed when I install the new one. I am running over 100 mods without conflict. But I always test the mods before using my play map.
I have been using your mod long enough to spend several hours on customizing a biome specific spawn config with mob spawn control. Looking forward to using it. I think your mice are adorable, the moles are very clever and the piranha are very mean.

This is why I can't put myself into your position.... I don't have any lag at all.
I have been doing some troubleshooting by removing mods and such and have found that the only time I get the glitch is with Atmos. I did find out its not just the mobs, when the mobs start glitching I noticed that the sun and moon are also glitching, like time is stuttering. It has nothing to do with mob quantity. I spawned 100s of mobs and after about 400+ MC started to lag a bit but not the glitch. I even removed Mob spawn control and it made no difference. Conclusion, I regret to say IMHO this mod. If I am wrong I apologize, but we can not fix what we do not know is broken. This is only my opinion after several tests.
Mob mods I used for testing: Elemental creepers, Mo creatures, birds, Goblins, Project zulu, lava monsters, Millionaire, Minions. None of these seem to cause the glitch.
I have exactly the same problem, exactly same problem as previous version. Have done same experiments as to cause. Also, problem becomes much worse during LAN play. Additional players make the bug worse and worse. When flying in creative mode there is a constant start - stop glitch too, a fraction of a second, but enough to be noticable and irritating. The higher the number of creaures spawned, and the larger the number of LAN players participating in any combination, make the game unplayable.
Dont know why, but my frame rate HALVES when Atmosmobs is installed.
Its definately Atmosmobs thats causing this problem, as it exists only when Atmosmobs is present and also when no other mobs are installed, so its not a mod conflict. As soon as Atmosmobs is uninstalled, the glitching ceases.
The sky glitch seems to have the effect that after every five movement increments of the sun or moon, it resets backwards by one or two increments, which has the effect of increasing day and night by one or two fifths increased duration.
This also affects being able to dig or mine or chop blocks, as the blocks reset with the glitch.
From what I managed to see, the rest of the mod looks great - love the bison behaviour, the beavers are cool and the config options are great. Could you do what Crudragos on Project Zulu has just done and make the config settings per creature per biome?
Whales are great, but need waterspouts and they need to swim around. Seals! are brilliant. First time i'd seen them. Lava snake is very cool. (pun intended)
Doing a lot of research on the problem. Trying multiple "solutions" but nothing seems to fix it. It's quite frustrating by now. I don't think I have a lot of time to work on a definite solution over the week. Please have some patience. I just hope that I will ever be able to fix this problem.
Enjoy!
The files are scattered over new packages.... took me about 30 min to get my imports fixed.
Yes, it's just in config folder
No wonder I couldn't find it - I put the whole zip in \mods. Doh!

I have never had this problem before, I will reduce the spawn cap and see if it makes any difference.
