Is Modloader required to install this mod?
-Yes, reread the install instructions for more information
Why isn’t this mod updated to Minecraft version 1.X.X?
-I have to wait until the tools I need to perform updates on the mod before I can even attempt to update the mod to the current version of Minecraft.
It won’t work.
-This tells me nothing, I don’t know what operating system you’re using, what you have installed previously in terms of other mods, etc. Please be descriptive as possible when giving a report.
I have an HD Texture and this won't install. Help?
Okay...so, I've figured out the issue and while it is minorly embaressing to admit to, maybe my mistake will help others. I have an HD texture installed, so I need to use MCP for it. When I forced an update, it added 2 minecraft.jar files to my bin folder. I had minecraft.jar, minecraft.1.2.3.jar and minecraft.1.2.4.jar. None of the video tutorials I watched specified WHICH .jar file to add everything to, in fact, none of them even mentioned the possibility of there being more than one.
So, I deleted all 3 minecraft files and forced an update to completely vanilla minecraft. When I did that, it only put one minecraft.jar file in the bin. I added all my mods one by one to that file and everything works perfectly now. I also used 7-zip instead of WinRar (I have both on the computer). After the mods were in, I updated the texture thing and all is good in my simulated world tonight.
Thanks for the help and may my error save someone else from smashing their forehead into their keyboard repeatedly.
You don't "unzip" minecraft.jar, you open it with an archiver like WinRar.
Saving the .jar file as a .zip and then renaming it could probably corrupt the file, meaning you need to redownload Minecraft
There's a chance I'm doing something wrong, but after following the instructions to the letter (about 10 times), I can not get the crafting table to create a compost box. Is it not meant to be?

Have you been able to craft everything else? Is the compost block the only thing giving you trouble?
Yes, I added a few other mods last night after giving up on this one and have a little house in the works. I've been able to make all my normal things so far.

I think I'll be changing the block id's of the compost block in the next release to try and avoid any clash between mods. Thanks for trying to install and posting what problem you ran into though.

FWIW, when using WinRar to copy the files over, it threw me an error. I can post a screenshot if you'd like.

Please do if you can, I get a lot of comments on my youtube videos that people get a black screen and I'm guessing they use winrar when trying to install my mod.
I tried it with 7-zip and with WinRar. 7-Zip gave me the black screen, WinRar flat out refused to copy anything. Getting a screen of the error for you.
I freaking love this mod, and I have since you posted it privately on YouTube, but I agree that the textures aren't the best. The diamond tips are the "worst" I can see so I decided to help you. No hard feelings and I hope you aren't offended.

These look kinda cool, however, my original idea behind the diamond tips were to have them look like arrow studs or crossbow bolts.
If your mod is called Mod_Arrow Tip, you should try to add the ability to create diamond tipped arrows and that when you craft one you get 4 maybe.
Just a suggestion

That was the original plan when i started developing the mod back last summer. However, as I started developing I couldn't figure out how to create diamond tipped arrows because the code for arrows is(or was) a little messy to figure out. I haven't changed the name of that file because I'm a bit lazy lol.
