I tried installing this mod to my server, but the server won't start up because of it (i tried removing other mods to make sure the problem was the minimap).
The server mod list is (everything is 1.6.2):
I have tried installing the aliens motion tracker, 10 times and yet everytime I install it, it doesnt work.
(BTW I use forge)if it helps, I have minecraft 1.5.2
I was perusing your mods here once again and saw "aliens tracker mod 1.6.4"
Reaction: He decided to revive it? Well, guess I finally get to see it in action. *clicks link and stares at error screen planetminecraft... clicks to double check... reads url... "aliens_tracker_nope".... comes back to page.*
Secondary Reaction: ...........BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!....... so, is he bringing it back after all..... or was I just majorly trolled? XD

The minimap is entirely client side. There is nothing for it to do on a server (even if it didn't crash it). If it was a pure Forge mod I'd mark it down as client side only, but as it is (working with modloader OR forge) that isn't really an option. Anyway, just remove it from the server. Not doing any good there. Cool if all the clients use it though

it's definitely back, I may have a faulty link in the OP! I'll fix it up there. Or it could just be PMC being down like it is from time to time (or both!). It's not the greatest host, but I choose to put my stuff there instead of behind an adf.ly or adfoc.us link so hopefully people can put up with it
The minimap is entirely client side. There is nothing for it to do on a server (even if it didn't crash it). If it was a pure Forge mod I'd mark it down as client side only, but as it is (working with modloader OR forge) that isn't really an option. Anyway, just remove it from the server. Not doing any good there. Cool if all the clients use it though

Looks like you are using 1.6.2 or earlier. Mo creatures support has been greatly improved with the automatic icon creation in newer versions. It catches most mo creatures mobs (though some will still need to be hand made, anyone can do that).
Pixelmon is not happening any time soon, as every single pixelmon is an instance of the same entity. It's a bit hard for any other mod to differentiate between them. You'd have a single icon for every pixelmon (which you may prefer to the question marks.. if so, make one). I may add the possibility to have icons based on the entity's skin as well as class, that may make pixelmon support possible (it might not though, will have to see)

1.6 is laggy enough on my computer that is why I still use the old launcher.

in the minimap menu, go to details/performance... and turn filtering off
don't know if this has been asked already, but would it be possible to add the option to the minimap for people to create subdirectories for their waypoints? with that people can group together certain waypoints and it'll be easier for them to organize them and enable/disable them.
with that would it also be possible to rearrange the order of waypoints by dragging them upwards/downwards?

Not currently, but I wouldn't be opposed to the idea. For now you'd have to edit the .points file to reorder waypoints, so if you really need to the possibility is there. Perhaps in UI someday

You may try downloading again (I frequently add features over the life of a minecraft version). So grab the 1.6.2 version linked in the first post. If it still isn't showing, I'll make sure I get a newer one up.
