oh wow thanks. Well I had no idea he even bundled it at all. Last I heard he was happy to stick with Rei's. This is good information I guess next time something like this happens I can remember to tell people to look at the config file to see what they are bound to
i just downloaded the mod and i cant open the menu with the "m" key i am not using the dire pack. its set in the config to use the M key by default right?
never mind all i did was delete the config and it works fine now.

Perhaps including the config for your map mod in the controls would be nicer to use and we wouldn't struggle to find where the menu is to configure the controls, simply open the Minecraft options and change the controls there, at least for the menu key...
No Voidfog No Dimming updated to 1.6.2, with experimental Modloader/Forge version as well. The modloader version should work with Optifine, unlike the regular version
Reporting bugs, I can't see the signs of my waypoints after awhile they disappear while the distance is set to unlimited, I only have 2-3 turned on at time so I doubt it could be the number of waypoints.
May I have permission to include VoxelMap, ChatBubbles, and (maybe) No Voidfog to my modpack. (i haven't used the last one yet, but it looks like a solution to a problem many of my friends have with mining low.)

sure. modloader/forge version of no voidfog recommended
Covers:
VoxelMap
Chat Bubbles
(and No Voidfog possibly)
if it came as part of a modpack (hint: this would be useful information) someone might have changed it. Check the config file for whatever it is. /mods/voxelmods/voxelmap.properties

It's not part of a modpack since I downloaded it from here and put it onto my game, but I will check configs anyways.
ok if it's set to M and M isn't working there's an issue somewhere else. if that's the case let me know what if any other mods you are using and I'll try to track it down

Well I've been looking and I can't find a config file either, is it that I have it in the wrong place? Does it not go into the mods folder? Or do I need another mod installed? (there was no insatllnation instructions text file in the 1.5.2 zip)
sounds like you downloader the modloader/forge version, which requires either modloader or forge to be installed. Does the map itself show up when you play? If not, well no wonder the menu doesn't come up. I assumed the map was at least visible, or you'd have mentioned it not being there instead of the menu but I'm just guessing in the dark here
went halfway there. Added an entry in the minecraft controls screen called "VoxelMap" that is identical to the "Menu" entry in the minimap controls screen. Both can be used to set / see the current minimap menu binding.
Could add them all to the minecraft controls screen, but I'd rather not; they'd have to be marked somehow as applying to the minimap (which at this stage would mean changing the translation for all of the keys in a couple dozen languages D: )
Now, adding the entire minimap menu as a submenu of the minecraft menu would be good as well, but for now this should at least allow people to see what the minimap menu key is bound to
**EDIT** this updated version is now uploaded at PMC. Works great with Forge and Liteloader, and the regular jarmod version, but Modloader looks a bit funky, since it addks keys to the controls menu without actually making the controls menu bigger/scrollable, so the new keys get stuck under the "Done" button. Great work Risu
I'm posting this here on account of pmc being full retard tonight. I go by the same name over there. I left a comment on the minimap page mentioning troubles with the 1.6.2 version of the map, you responded, and I was going to respond to you, but my comment would not post.
So here it is, in all its tl;dr splendor:
I've always had biome shading turned off, the transparencies never seemed to affect much, but dynamic lighting seemed to be the biggest soul-sucking expense of them all. This was the 1.5.2 version of the mod. And since my use of it with 1.6, I've only used the default texture pack, so I'm not sure the problem lies there. I believe, as silly as it may sound, that the issues I'm having were not present prior to this mod becoming the voxel map. That's the only variable I can see between 1.5.2 and 1.6.2 as far as how I've got it configured. It seems, to me at least, that this mod performed much better before there were things in its files containing the word "voxel".
Would it be possible, for sake of testing, to acquire a 1.6.2 version of this mod that does not include any reference to voxel? That it be structured as similarly as 1.6 will allow to how it was in 1.5.2? I fully accept if this isn't possible, or if you just don't want to do all of the work that requires for one person, but I see no harm in asking.
