I don't mean spammed a bit, I mean A LOT. In a 30 minute session the log is 74,095 lines long most of which the above.
Is there meant to just be a limitation to the size of the textures, or is it some weird debugging? The textures work fine by the way, besides the spam. If it is forcefully limited to a certain size, then so be it.
I'd really like this for 1.4.7, but I'm not sure where I'd download the 1.4.7 forge version.. I did download the liteloader version so I could swap out the class, but I'd need the mod_ZanMinimap.class to put in, which I can't find anywhere
1.5 bug:
If I die in the nether the coordinates for latests death are wrong. The minimap uses the equivalent topside coordinates in the nether, which I find a bit odd and inconvenient, but the death waypoint is in actual nether coordinates. I was unable to find my way back to my stuff till I multiplied the death coordinates (x8) to match the topside coordinates the map uses. Great mod otherwise, Thanks
note: I'd love to be able to see the actual nether coordinates below the minimap when in the nether instead of topside coordinates.
I fixed this a couple days ago (check changelog). Download new version

pretty certain those messages aren't coming from the minimap
yeah if the framerate is too high, the zoom button can register two "presses". will be working on that
benefits: nether mapping. cave mode. mob icons. correct biome coloring for mods like Twilight Forest. dynamic lighting responds to night vision and lightning (who cares really but I like it haha). Text isn't garbled with more than one waypoint (though I expect he'll fix that soon). They aren't all that different really
After running into a issue between Rei's Minimap and ComputerCraft I decided to switch to this minimap instead. So far I think I may be sticking to your minimap from here on out.
chatbubbles is for 1.5. PMC is always up to date. If there's a conflict it's because I forgot to update this thread (will do so now).
So, if bubbles aren't showing up for you, PM me the server address or something. Also zombe's mod overrides one of the classes from Modloader that chatbubbles relies on. If you have that installed it might be the problem (if so, you can replace that file with the one from modloader without breaking zombe's in any way I can see)
Also keep in mind you can't see bubbles over your own head, and nicknames will not work (unless server has VoxelPlugin installed)
when you install the mod, do not replace the com folder in minecraft.jar with the one in the minimap zip. Merge them. You should end up with a com folder that has jcraft and prupe subfolders, and a thevoxelbox subfolder. If it only has thevoxelbox, well you've deleted minecraft's sound code
What part of the radar is dependent upon the texture pack? With the default pack, the radar functions well. I am designing my own texture pack at this time and when I use it, nothing shows up on the radar.
just the mob skins. I haven't run into a pack yet that it can't load the mob skins from. PM me a link to yours if you like
Got it, thank you! I had been using a few custom skins (smiling creeper, hi-res wolf, etc) for mobs and leaving the rest for Minecraft to decide. (If you don't include a mobs skin in the texture pack, minecraft reverts to default) By putting copies of the default mobs into my texture pack's mob folder, the minimap now properly displays them. Thank you!
that is odd though. If you don't include custom skins, minecraft reverts to the default, as you said. But the minimap does too, it's just getting the textures from Minecraft :-/ Just tested this out with a custom TP. Deleted some mob skins and the minimap uses the default
*edit* that works with a zipped up texture pack. Uncompressed pack in a folder doesn't work without all mob skins being present. Huh. Anyway when you package yours up into a zip you can skip including copies of the default mobs, but I guess they have to be there for testing before zipping it
*edit2* actually icons were never loading for me with a folder texture pack, since I had an error trying to get CTM textures. Fixed that and icons load whether or not any custom skins are present. You should be able to leave out the copies of the default. I'm really surprised adding them in worked (unless you were trying with a folder before, and then a zip later. If so, it's switching to the zip that fixed it for you)
So yeah, problem (unrelated to the icons, though it made them break) fixed in folder texture packs. Thanks for the report
Problem with your Minimap waypoints, they are the same on all dimension, I created a waypoint in the Nether to find my portal and this waypoint is also in the overworld when I came back, totally useless in the overworld, I don't want to have to manually disable them each time, that means I'll have to use another minimap since I also have MystCraft, if I can't have separate waypoints for each dimension, I can't play with your Zan's Minimap mod which is awesome for the icons on the radar... I don't think you'll fix anything since I use 1.4.7 here so sad, awesome work, only the most annoying problem will never ever be fixed for the FTB and such because of the 1.5 edition of MC was released...
Problem with your Minimap waypoints, they are the same on all dimension two dimensions
Fixed that for you. Nether and overworld share waypoints, because I use that to line up portals. Literally any other dimension has separate waypoints.
And how is making a waypoint to find your portal in the nether useless in the overworld? That's where the portal is in the overworld..
Anyway yeah mystcraft dimensions are all separate. But take your drama "I can't play with your Zan's Minimap mod" somewhere else. I hear rei's is working great with a lot of Forge mods and waypoint text right now

And for some reason my zoom is working weird, It's going too fast between zoom modes

Ah, you're sort of correct. It appears to be SettingsAPI or 3DItems when used in conjunction with LiteLoader/VoxelMap.
If either is disabled the error goes away.
Seeing as 1.5 should remove the need for 3DItems (for why I use it) I'll just mark it up to ghosts in the machine for now.
