I'm having a lot of problems with Zan's Minimap making me walk forward/jump if I press the large map key. I'm able to replicate it by walking forward then holding the large map key and then letting go of 'W' while still holding the large map key.
Out of curiousity is this mod still installed via placing in the minecraft.jar, or is it installed by just dropping in the mods folder? I ask because the names of files in the readme.txt no longer match the folder names. Checking before I install this.
Hey MamiyaOtaru! You might remember me commenting on NO sound for Smart moving Mod. I just like to say, I use minecraft FORGE and that If there actually was a way to get this mod compatible with it, I asked divisor, but No reply yet. So Im asking if you actually can. I don't want to use modloader becuase it doesn't really allow button scrolls, mods that are installed....(Ect.) So, Thats all I want to ask, You can comment of Planet Mc or This, Thank you!
So, I downloaded the modloader version of Zan's Minimap the other day, but it doesn't appear to be up-to-date with your changelog. Are you only maintaining the jar version, or is it just an outdated link on your planetminecraft page for it?
Specifically, I noticed that the map was updating by 1 coordinate at a time, no matter how zoomed in I got, even though the changelog shows "smooth movement: the map no longer moves one coordinate at a time even when each coordinate is represented by 8 pixels. When zoomed in, you can see your position within a block" from a month ago
modloader version is getting uploaded in parallel with the regular version. Did the .zip you download have a /mob folder in it? If not you somehow have an ancient version.
You may also be misunderstanding what I mean by smooth movement. I only show the coordinates as an integer. The smooth movement refers to the map image itself, not the numbers it displays
Is there anyway to get waypoints set in a open LAN world to stay, if the person in question isn't the host?
ah I see the issue. Every time someone hosts it uses a different port number. If you know the port (it tells the host when he opens it) you can change the name of the .points file before joining and you'll see your old points. I'll see what I can do about a better solution.
Currently servers on different ports are stored separately (for MP servers with different worlds on different ports). This LAN stuff might be the more common use case though
Hmm. I was just in the process of adding your mods to the mod list last night before 1.5 was released. Do you have downloads for previous versions, or do you not store those any longer? Also, mediafire isn't great for old downloads (or at all in my personal opinion). I'd recommend something like SugarSync which doesn't have a time limit for inactive uploads. Also has the added bonus of having no fake download buttons, or lagging peoples' computers with a million ads per download. A sample download if you're curious of how a download looks at all (just a text file, leads to download page rather than starting download immediately). It's also free.
Anyways, should I remove the 1.4.6/1.4.7 versions from the list, or will you still support them? Either way, I've already added your updated ones to the 1.5 list that's in progress.

I used to maintain the Minecraft Forums Mod List. However, life has stepped in the way of that. Perhaps later...
I don't have links up to old versions, mostly because I am lazy. I could certainly do something about that
The MCF ModList linked in my signature. You may receive more attention from those who are not quite willing to part with the mods that have yet to update. It's up to you really, and certainly not a requirement.

No, I understood what you mean, but upon further testing, the issue only occurs on the full screen map. Movement on the minimap in the corner is smooth like you said it should be.

ah right, you are of course correct. I should amend the description a bit. Fullscreen map, due to not having a border, moves a block at a time.
the minimap never shows player names. what are you talking about?
Edit: Nvm. Derp. Found it.
