Awesome minimap mod, I love the in-game waypoints and the monster radar. This is going to make my single player world easier to navigate.
I do have a problem though. I'm using MagicLauncher 0.9.9 to run Minecraft 1.3.2, and your mod loads up just fine. The minimap is square with a circle overlaid on it, rather than just a circle. See the screenshot below.
I turned off all my other mods and it still happens. I'm still definitely sticking with your minimap mod for the cool waypoints
Installed with magic launcher and did not get the "no mods found" error but upon opening up minecraft the map didn't appear and the greeting menu did not pop up
It's currently only set to show the first time you log in with the mod. Menu should still be able to be brought up with M. If not, you might have another mod conflicting with this one, if it uses GuiIngame (currently aow.class).
yes. The icon will be based on their skin, assuming the skin server is up (or if you have seen them before and it's cached). Otherwise it will be a Steve icon

This should be fixed in the latest upload. The display is not created with alpha bits, so what I was doing to make it a circle shouldn't work. For some reason it did on my AMD card but nVidia cards do the right thing and ignore it. Can't rely on a glitch that only half the cards out there have of course, so I changed how I did it. Please let me know if version h (or higher, depending on when you read this haha) works
Anyone know if this will work with the latest snapshot? The map, I mean.
Short answer: No
Mods not made explicitly for a snapshot will not work with them. Which is pretty much any mod that uses MCP. They generally only update their deobfuscation tools for official releases. They (and I) will update ASAP once a new official release comes out
added death marker at site of your last death. Like other waypoints, it can be toggled on and off or deleted (and the color can be changed. Have a red skull!)
I spend a LOT of time near/at bedrock. ily. I've been using your No voidfog/dimming for awhile now, and I send everyone I play with to this mod as well. Best thing EVER made. Other people have recommended OptiFine, but I like simple....I don't need all that extra crap that comes along with it, just for voidfog/dimming removal.
Also, is there any way you can make it so we can choose to have the current world time shown on the minimap mod? It would eliminate my need to use any other mods altogether. Knowing day/night just isn't quite good enough for me...I like knowing exactly how much day/night I have left to work with. Can you toggle this mod at all to hide the map but still show coordinates/compass direction? (sorry if this is obvious to everyone else, but I've not used this mod yet, but leaning heavily towards switching from what I currently use to this mod instead)
I currently use your No voidfog/dimming mod, in addition to the zombe modpack (I use compass mod, and world info mod only, for the coords, compass direction, and world time to be shown) but I don't like having to have the entire pack in order to just have those few simple features.

possible. I'll think about it. That functionality is sort of provided by the in game craftable watch. Is that not precise enough? Though yeah I see you'd prefer it there in text form. Doable, but I'd have to think about it. Overlaps with some other stuff

Currently you can hide the map and still display the coordinates. No text representation of direction at the moment. How precise are you thinking? N, W, E, S? SW, NW? NNW?

This is basically how my screen currently looks, in my top left corner. Amazingly useful, and very compact. However, I quite like your waypoints/death marker/minimap, although I don't think I would like having the map up on my screen ALL the time. Is there a way to scroll or toggle between: just info (like image); info + waypoints; and info + waypoints + minimap? (apologies if there are options for this stuff I am not aware of....I haven't used the mod yet)
Thanks for replying, and for your patience.

the cave map is bug it may show the over world rather than the map..
love the nether mapping...
need a way to change the map size...(sorry to mention it but like the one in rei that is a gui apart from that of mincraft)
So, I have a quick question. I downloaded this mod, and use it with Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders mod, however on the minimap all of the water appears purple and not blue. Would anyone happen to have a workaround for this? It's not game-breaking but its rather annoying. Any help would be appreciated.

Currently if you toggle the map off, coordinates and waypoint beacons still show (they can also be turned off). Each of your setups is possible, bar lack of text representation for direction

The size of the map is tied to the GUI size. If Options, Video Settings, Gui Scale is not set to auto, the map shrinks along with the rest of the GUI. Considering changing that

is there a way to disable the teleporting option? to cheaty for my tastes! rest of its brilliant.
In singleplayer it only functions in creative mode. In multiplayer it only works if the player has access to /tp or /tppos. Which is to say it only works when a player could teleport already. Just makes it a bit easier
Is there a 1.4 prerelease of the motion tracker as well? I enjoy using that one very much, thank you
not yet. I am still working out how to integrate it into the new menu system, plus it seems a bit redundant with the new radar stuff in the minimap. Do you use it with the minimap, or instead of the minimap? If the latter, i can get you a version real quick

I love that waypoints work in the Nether and are placed correctly (1/8 scale)
