Soooo any chance this new update might also include compatibility with 1.9? Because I'm dying to use it, but nobody on my server wants to backdate to 1.8 just to use it :-/
1.9 update is coming soon. There is still a fair bit of work to do.
Mr.Crayfish has no more "luv" for 1.7.10 :v Every time the topic is brought, he remains silent. It's useless, bro! We (other users and myself) already tried to persuade him to be clear about 1.7.10 ("the mod version it's officially dead?"). He never gave a clear answer...but has been a while since he mentioned it too.
Hi Mrcrayfish, I really love the furniture mod and I am extremely interested in the outdoor update, so i was wondering if you could make this update to 1.7.10. I'd really appreciate that! Also keep up the good work!
I like this mod and I like all the texture and detail put into this new update and I really like what you have done with all these new things added in but I always crash when I try to use the Computer and order something from MineBay. But other than that great mod and I am looking forward to the new upcoming updates in the future of Mr. Crayfish Furniture Mod.
Never mind I just fixed my problem and like I said before I like the format of this mod since the first time it was made and the detail put into this mod and also I like the outdoor update too. No bugs or things needed to be fixed anymore so I am satisfied I can play a mod without having to deal with crashing and bugs. Thanks for making this update because I was waiting for an update with outdoor stuff and more cooking stuff.
I just wanted to stop by and say thank you for continuing to update and support this mod, MrCrayfish. I'm setting up a 1.10 server, and I hope very much that the 1.9 version will be compatible enough to use with 1.10. This is one of my must-haves.
Mr.Crayfish add a working elevator/escalator into the mod so you don't have to build one yourself taking hours and checking to see if the redstone works. Also really good for my city map which includes many office buildings and malls.
Okay so I've downloaded MrCrayfish's furniture mod v4.0.1 for MC1.8.9, everything worked fined but some of the vanilla sounds are messed up, some sounds play twice, one just slightly after another (like echoes).
For example when you open a door (or a fence gate), you will hear 2 door opening sounds.
This also affects music discs, when you try to play a music in a juke box, you will hear the hiccuping music (2 musics playing at the same time, one with slight delay, which is not very pleasant to hear).

Is this a bug or something? I'm running forge1.8.9-11.15.1.1722.
I would like to continue the topic started by @carthonen -- I am similarly puzzled. My 8-year-old daughter built many maps with the Furniture Mod 3.5.2 and she loves it. However when I tried upgrading to 4.0.1 I found 68 items are missing.
I guess the big rename must have happened with 4th release, but what was the rationale to making such a change? It breaks compatibility in a big way. And it's not OK to just say "you have to re-craft most of your furniture". How can I explain it to my daughter.
I'm just a beginner, is there any way to edit the maps to replace the missing items with the new names? How to extract the dictionary of supported names by the mod, so that I could create a replacement table mapping old<->new item names?
The 4th edition of the mod implemented some big changes, as you have mentioned. Previously my mod was using items to place furniture down. However I decided to change this since it was a poor design decision that I made at the start of the mod. It was becoming a pain create icons for furniture as its hard to get detailed 16x16 represent the furniture. Removing the items also allowed me to implement 3D inventory renders a lot easier.
To sum this up, it was not an easy decision and I know people were going to be affected. We can only move forward from now on.
Now I should mention you can keep your furniture if you place it all down before upgrading.

No exact date. It will be finished when it's finished.
Yes
Is 1.9.4 and 1.10 almost the same when updating your mod? Cause it seems that updating some of the mods was relatively quick.
Check out my modpack if you are looking for a tough modpack, though its still having stuff changed here and there: http://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/deadly-encounters
Also using agricraft and pam's harvestcraft and want to fix the sesame seed issue? I know how to check my bio for link to see how to fix it.

Any idea what happened here? I followed the video instructions but still failed.
Thx
I just wanted to stop by and say thank you for continuing to update and support this mod, MrCrayfish. I'm setting up a 1.10 server, and I hope very much that the 1.9 version will be compatible enough to use with 1.10. This is one of my must-haves.
can you please update your mod to 1.10.2
Yes, because demanding an update from the mod author will totally get him to do it just for you.
Confirmed, website host doesn't have the *.mrcrayfish.com in the SSL Cert, so it bounces.
The page isn't available in HTTP any longer, so, it isn't accepted.
MrCrayfish will have to get a hold of the web host, and have then re-certify their SSL Cert with his wildcard FDQN.
I tried stripping off all the other mods I have (so I'm only running Minecraft with only the furniture mod), and also tried downgrading to v3.6.2 and v3.6.1, removed resource packs, but I still hear the hiccuping sounds.
Is this a bug or something? I'm running forge1.8.9-11.15.1.1722.

You can go to GITHUB and compile your own.
I have 1.9.4 and 1.10 working.
EDIT: I built 1.9.4 using the 1.10 files.
However, also, please note that THIS DOES NOT WORK WITH PRIVATE SERVERS.
