I'm a bit confused on whether the ruins work for BOP or not based upon the replies on page 34. So can they be edited to work for BOP? Would the folders be named like this? heathland, lush desert, promised land (hills), savanna, and savanna (thick). I tried adding just one more biome being heathland to it but nothing seemed to have appeared. I have yet to run into any cool ruins if any on this mod while using BOP.
It should generate folders for everything BOP once you run the game once and then you just copy paste the stuff from a similar vanilla biome into them. If that doesnt do it, placing the tml files directly in the ruins folder will definitely work although you might end up with treehouses in the desert so be choosy which ones you put in there.
Also, I had a crash last night related to ruins, I cant make any sense out of it.

I'm pretty certain that we've got a player made structure at 0,0 that is in our origin chunk, not getting wiped, and still got some lighthouses added. I'll double check that later (and watch it actually be at -1,-1 :-).
Ok, I have checked around origin.
We have one ruin in the -1,-1 chunk.
No ruin in the 0,0 chunk.
A ruin in the 1,1 chunk.
Player placed torches in all of those chunks.
Additionally, some of the generation has happened in test copies of the world, and those copies are, sadly, no longer around (for example, I knew that there were two lighthouses in that ocean, but that sighting must have been in a testing world, not the "real" world.)
Is it just my minecraft? Or is it a common bug that there is a block that looks like dust covering all of the spawned ruins. It is seriously annoying since I cannot enjoy the beauty of this mod! I hope I just downloaded it wrong or something .. Unless I am misunderstanding this whole mod and there is a dust block which covers all ruins.. Excuse me if I sound dumb.
Alright, so today I flew around the edge of "known space". Generated a bunch of new structures.

For some reason, BaloonLow generates with a number of blocks around it. These blocks look like the old old gravel block, but disappear as soon as you click on them. They still block movement, and light.
Our construct and torches in the 0,0 chunk are still there. So the chunk did NOT get regenerated, and it still plopped a ruin down there.
