There is an example file explaining what the options do and such.
Is that file included in the download? Where can I find it? I've looked in the resources directory inside .minecraft/mods/resources/ruins and there are tons of templates but none of the ones I've browsed have explanations.
I installed it right I believe, I followed all of the instructions and it still doesnt seem to work. My minecraft still loads and I've been all over a map but the structures dont seem to form please help me
If it's installed correctly it will show up in FML's list when you click the Mods button and it will create the ruins.txt and ruins_log.txt files in the mods folder. The log should show a number of templates loaded for the biomes it detects.
Also, it only spawns structures in new chunks.
Can you think of any reason it would have stuck a light house in the middle of the ocean approximately three chunks from the 0,0 spot, in an area that was already generated?
I'm not complaining -- much. I can use the sand and clay.
(In regard to a mod that gives realistic animal genetics):
Would you really rather have bees that make diamonds and oil with magical genetic blocks?
... did I really ask that?
Scott Killen (of EBXL) said that it looked like an infinite loop in ruins that chewed up all my memory at the end (http://www.minecraft...0#entry18336020)

Well rather obviously there seems to be an unintended massive side effect by CustomOreGen. I presume it reacts to the Ruins and Blocks placed by Ruins, leading to excessive computations.
I'm not sure i'm the responsible party. Try CustomOreGen's dev.

Here as requested. I apparently forgot to turn off one of the debugging outputs. It is not responsible for the out of memory error, though, just a lot of log spam. It prints during the FML world generation tick (or ModLoader generateSurface), so all it means is that something is forcing the generation of an awful lot of chunks. Without access to the Mystcraft source where the error is cited it would be hard to say more. Keybounce, it will probably be up to you to narrow down which mods or combinations of mods specifically cause this error.
Sooooo... if they spawn in Extrabiomesxl biomes do they spawn in Better World Generation Biomes and world types (when making the folders)?

I'm addicted to Minecraft again thanks to this mod.
Awesome work! Brings some much needed variety to everything.

Also, there is tons of old templates in the older threads of this mod.
