oo it appears that the libraries are ordered in priority with libraries that overwrite files are closer to the top.
Forge no longer directly overwrites MC classes but patches at runtime so it should be safe to leave above gulliver.

Now, now... Seriously, some of this JVM/command-line argument stuff can be pretty tricky to get right, even when you do a lot of coding. Guess most systems allocate more memory to Java by default. Actually, I usually use JVM arguments more like "-Xmx800M" or "-Xmx640M" for less maximum memory, but then my 5yo WinXP netbook isn't exactly a powerhouse...

Right about the library priority order (the top jars get checked for classes first), and also right about Forge no longer overwriting classes directly. But if you also want to add Optifine, which definitely needs to go after Gulliver in the list of libraries, then it's best to just get used to having Gulliver Forged before Forge in the list.

Cia, I'm having problems with your installation guides, I've tried both of them, but minecraft continues to be weird. When trying to play with gulliver forged with your first manual (non semi-installer), the launcher disappears and won't open minecraft after i hit play. With the semi-installer version, nothing happens when I hit play, the launcher stays and no minecraft appears
I am running a mac, if this is part of the problem. (macs are nothing but trouble when it comes to any kind of gaming)

Hmm, you were just installing the Forge version, not the ModLoader one, right?
When it stays on the launcher without starting Minecraft after you press "Play", click on the "Development Console" tab at the top of the launcher, copy the text there, then post it here or via pastebin.

Hi. The latest Gulliver is built to a specific version of Forge, so chances are you may need to install that one before you can run this mod. Please try and see if my guide works for you, as I'm trying to gauge how helpful it is for people.

well, it DOESN'T crash, i use a windows 7 and it only stops when i change the JVM Arguements and i did everything you said to do, i'm just hoping for the 1.6.2 auto installer to come out

well that's not good, if the file you're trying to rename is ending up as whatever.jar.zip, then that's a big problem... it won't recognize it as a JAR file rather instead still as a ZIP file. Unless you tell it not to in the options, Windows typically hides the file extensions so you don't actually see the ".ZIP" portion in your file browser. But if you do, just the standard renaming feature in your file browser is all you need to change that... so you would replace the whole ".zip" with ".jar" and it should take (and change the entire format of the file). I'd be worried if it doesn't... since I have never used any recent versions of Windows (like 7 or 8), I worry you guys may not be able to do this any more, in which case my instructions would be bunk. ^^:
but that file has to be renamed no matter what, so see if you can figure out a way to do so... even if it means downloading a funky program that can rename files. XD
Also, just to be on the safe side, any chance you can attach a screenshot of how you're trying to rename the file? Kinda worried you use the term "folder", hopefully that just means the shape of the icon ^^:

Assuming you are still able to open the minecraft launcher at least, I would recommend attaching or copy-pasting any error logs that you can find, either within the minecraft directory, or in the Development Console tab of your launcher. There may be a lot of jibberish in there, but chances are there will be something that Mion or Tarig may find useful as far as explaining and solving the problem.

If you're using the new Minecraft launcher, that's fine... the latest gulliver for 1.6.2 doesn't use a bin-folder installation any more.
