that was for MC version 1.2.5, if i recall correctly, i didn't check, so don't need to correct me on it.
since that point, the amount of times i've been able to use this mod due to various issues, zero, total.
i officially give up, sorry unclemion, your mod has always had great potential and i've always been interested in it, sorry that some circumstances or another prevent me from ever using it.
this is not a request for an update, other issues would likely prevent being able to use it as they have in past.

Uh, thanks, I think? Glad to hear you enjoyed the Yogscast review from May 2012, but if you really wanted to play with Gulliver, it's a pity you didn't officially ask for help sooner (aside from making a request for Smart Moving/Player API support, which doesn't exactly count.)

What Tarig said... my players used to use that silly mof all the time... to essentially cheat. Before we kinda outlawed its used, it seemed to work just fine for everyone, or at least no one ever complained or whined about any bugs or defects since they understood full well that Mion wasn't obligated to support this thing.
In short, it doesn't sound like an issue with the Gulliver mod so much as it is an issue with your own expectations.
Speaking of which, I posted the guide initially to address your original (and VERY cryptic) post, which implied "something" was wrong without specifying what.
strange, last time i tried i'm pretty sure it crashed, i'll wait for an update and see if it works when there is one then.
and well to be honest, if anything, smart moving is the very most important mod to us, it's just a nuisance to use vanilla again, probably wouldn't host the server without it being up to date, really.
have been tempted to open it up for hardcore pvp mode play lately too, i doubt it will happen as we're picking up on interest again though, would want to have gulliver for that especially, would be even more fun.

it has been a looong time since it ever was updated. i want to know what exactly happened to development. this mod just is too exciting for me to pass up, but i do not know if i can use it from my own mc, since mods this old never work for me no matter how hard i try to get it to run in the right version. i have not read much of the other posts because of there being an overwhelming amount of them.

Anyway, thanks for the extra day! As for your need "to know what exactly happened to development," oh no I am so sorry boss I will give you a full detailed accounting of how I spent my work time right away... LOL. Since you're not the boss of me, that is quite literally "none of your business" (Probably not what you intended, but it doesn't go over well with developers when you sound like you're demanding status reports on projects done for free.)

That possibly works with some Forge mods, the kind you drag and drop into the /mods folder. But Gulliver is a core mod at heart, so its too closely tied to Minecraft's inner workings to be able to have that kind of version flexibility.
I've heard (and knowing from experience) that 1.6.2 mods work with 1.6.4;
Is Gulliver the same? Gulliver has been defiant of some other "Minecraft Mod Rules" (Not really 'Rules,' just metaphorically speaking) and I'm a little scared to try it's 1.6.2 version with 1.6.4.
