- There actually isn't much difference in drowning/suffocation time between small mammals and humans.
- Not sure about your snowball-propulsion idea, but thanks for reminding me to check Snowballs and Eggs for knockback. Also I'll have them deal a bit of damage when hitting small entities
(Speaking of propulsion, think I'll make Active Furnaces cause some updraft for paper-gliders...)
- You already cause more damage to mobs when you're a giant, but you don't hurt them as much more as you would expect when hitting them with your "tiny" sword. Try punching them instead (without holding an Item) and see what difference that makes
Thanks for your reply normally anybody replys his threads. i saying the little mobs do less damage to a normal person, and for a giant less more. i didn´t explain good, language problems
i like the idea of the furnaces, lava (and redstone torches maybe?) for gliding, i trying to explain some kind of repulsion with snowballs, in the walls, the floor and the roof (this idea plus your idea of the furnaces gliding will be awesome to fly )
How long 'til its updated for 1.4.2? I really wanna go swimming in my cauldron and racing tiny pigs. Best mod i've ever seen. Infinity diamonds to you, UncleMion.
Haven't decided if I'll do stuff with the Beacon, but I think the Potion of Ensmallening will make a fine addition to the Witch's arsenal
Oh yeah, quick show of hands - who here wants to ride a Bat?
Riding a bat would be awesome. ONWARD! It would be really cool if you could control it though... Like, you lead some clay soldiers into a mini-blocks town where other clay soldiers are waiting. But you lead them on a bat.
Oh my. You've actually made it so you can stand on tripwire hooks when you're small? That's SO cool! Also, I noticed that the tripwire hook has a hitbox of a tripwire hook connected to string, even when it is'nt connected to string. Do you plan on making more things (like levers, buttons, torches and such) have hitboxes when you're small? Would make for some really interesting jumping puzzles.
I love all the little details put into this mod. Flying over fire because of the heat, swimming in cauldrons, drowning in rain etc. Truly great work UncleMion!
Thanks I'm not sure about giving torches collision boxes, since they're at an angle when on the sides of blocks, but maybe levers (the base part) and buttons. (A jumping puzzle done with buttons would be pretty funny ^_^)
I think it'd be really cool if you could add something to the potions to make them last forever. I'd like to be a Borrower forever.
There's more than one way to change your size You can also use Cyan or Magenta Dye, or set your base size with commands. You probably want the base size method. Take a look at the post for the Gulliver Survival Challenge, it's got instructions for resetting your base size even when your world is in survival and no-cheat mode.

Fly on a Stick?
By the way folks, no release this weekend, maybe next weekend so long as I don't get sick again again
Ok update requesters, I'm going to try to stop all the requests, requesting updates is against your terms of service and can get your account removed, I bet uncle mion can request a moderator to monitor this thread.
Some of the things that you are suggesting are already implemented. Btw, uncle mion, on the minecraftforge's wall, it says that forge supports almost any modloader mod, would this imply to you mod too?
How about this:If you're small, (At least 0.5) When you use weapons/items to punch/hit stuff/mobs, You will lose your hunger faster.
Because you're waving around a big heavy sword?
Hmm, that would make sense, but you're already losing hunger faster because you have to hit mobs a bunch more times before they die. I also don't want to discourage tiny players from holding Items, since they increase your range and digging/hitting power. I'd probably scale it so that you'd get just 2 times the hunger loss when digging/hitting with an Item at 0.125 size, that way it's still better to hold Items instead of going empty-handed.
(Fun fact: the shrew has to eat close to its own body weight every day. And now you can see why...)

Nope. Gulliver's the exception that proves the rule It changes too many of the same base classes as Forge. That's why I'll have to make a special Forge-compatible version.
I had two Ideas.
1. Command Blocks for Resizing in 1.4.3 "@r basesize 0.125" If you feel like trolling someone in the server, or for adventure maps.
2. Small players = Bat food. Aka, getting picked up and dropped by bats.

1. Already planned I even added a new command for changing sizes relatively instead of giving everyone the same basesize.
2. Hrmmm, but these are bats, not birds of prey... Maybe if they add eagles someday. (Or flying monkeys.)
Maybe you could make a way to get armor small too?
Just an idea
Leather and gold armor are useable at small sizes, and leather leggings are useable by giants. Gulliver intentionally prevents tiny and huge players from getting decked out in the sturdier armor; that's a feature, not a bug.
I make gulliver mod servers with hamachi, but I don't have one up right now. I will on 1.4.2
Also, how about normal size players trapping small people with slime? or even sticky pistons gripping onto small players and sticking them in place?
Hmmm bouncy wool... hmmm.
Sticky pistons already cause the same "stickiness" effect as holding a slimeball. You can climb up the sticky side of a piston. In a later release, I plan to make sticky pistons "pull" tiny players when they retract.
For a nasty glue trap, try placing a sticky piston facing upward, and put stone blocks around it. The stone blocks aren't climbable, and the sticky floor will prevent tiny players and mobs from jumping high enough to get out. (Unless they have a slime ball of their own, since you can climb any block with that.)
And that's what I like - dedicated attention to detail. Gulliver clearly shows that a well executed mod based on a single idea has so much awesome potential. Ugh... I hate overenthusiastic commenters and I am behaving like one right now
Or they could just drink a potion of embiggening. (if they have one to spare)
Sure, but it's good to have a solution other than "stop being tiny"
By the way folks, I just got back from the ER. Luckily it wasn't serious like appendicitis, now I know why I got sick last month, and they gave me stuff to take to make me all better Also some other nice stuff that I probably shouldn't be mod coding under the influence of. (It's fun watching Gulliver videos though. Tee hee.) Upshot is, no ETA for a release at this point, but I look forward to getting back to programming without feeling sick
[sorry for my bad english, im mexican] :3

AWESOME MOD! my congratulations
you already can do that as tiny player
Edit : Nevermind that pre-release was deleted from the wiki...

All you have to do is be in creative and press "f" (for small) or "r" (for big).

That would make some sense, yeah Although it might be tricky to manage dropping the anvil on a giant, if you have to start above their head.
