You should try reading the last few pages of this thread... maybe you'd find your answer and not need to ask a question that has been answered a million times already. Pahimar is at 0% on updating this, because he's working on EE3 now! So if EE2 ever gets an upgrade, it's gonna be a while!

You see, the original creator of the mod had all this cobblestone, and then he ate some really spicy food and watched FMA. Then he slept, and when he woke he said to himself "Holy crap, I know the secrets of the universe! The Dark Matter that makes up the missing mass of the universe is hiding in cyberspace!"
And then, he set out on his brilliant mission to show us all the truth of the matter. On the way, he made up some items, and some of them were inspired by FMA, and some were not. And, lo, there was fanwank. And it was.... Well, it was fanwank about how youshouldputinthisthingfromtheshowitwouldbereallycoolthanks.
And there was much facepalming, but then we installed the mod and played. And it was good.

Being near it blinds you, poisons you, applies nausea, and many other statuses you don't want. However, making it is apparently required in the making of a Minium stone functionally similar to the P. Stone, but is inferior like FMA red stones, and does not last indefinitely.
As far as I remember from watching MineTV and pahimar's development streams (yes, he streams it).

when my emerald pickaxe (from Redpower) is almost broken, i can repair it in my crafting grid by using 3x medium covalence dust. that's just fine.
but when i have a talisman of repair in my invntory (and some medium covanlence dust of course), it doesn't repair my emerald pickaxe. the pick simply breaks :-(
do you have any idea how to fix that?

Talisman in alchemical chest/bag does not, however, but is slower. You can carry a bag with a decently sized stockpile of tools and you'll never run out.

at first: the talisman doesn't need fuel. it only needs the correct covalence dust.
it worked fine with an iron pickaxe without any fuel.
and in my opinion: if you get something for free (as much as you want) it is pretty much like cheating.
so your "advice" that the talisman would need fuel is incorrect, so it doesn't help me at all.
or would you say that it needs fuel for mod items, but it doesn't need fuel for vanilla items? -.-*
By fuel I sort of meant the dust (which is expended like fuel, I think) and not actual "fuel", but I see what you're saying. I guess it was poor word choice on my part. Thanks for correcting me.
Or perhaps my knowledge is getting rusty, since I'm working on a Better Than Wolves world this month, and I got that wrong too. Let me check.
