This is the first mod I have created, it adds the following things to the game:
-Niter Blocks, these are found up to height 90 in mountains or underground as ores, they are relatively common.
-Niter Powder, received upon breaking a Niter Block, 1-4 are dropped when a Niter Block is mined.
-Carbon Powder, can be created by putting Coal in the crafting table.
-Black Powder, can be crafted by putting Niter Powder, Carbon Powder, and Sulfur in that order in the crafting table.
-Explosive Barrel, can be crafted with sticks and Black Powder as so:

Where '/' is a stick and 'x' is the Black Powder. Explosive Barrels are four times as powerful as TNT and create quite a devistation.
TO USE IT YOU MUST HAVE MODLOADER PRE-INSTALLED. MOVE ALL OF THE FILES FROM BetterExplosives.zip (except for INSTRUCTIONS.txt) TO minecraft.jar
I've created this mod mostly for a learning experience and I hope to move on in making mods. Please check it out and give me suggestions to add or provide help to fix any problems in the mod. Thanks!
