Hello everybody, now with the 1.3 update came a huge buff to the creative inventory and abilities, many of which were things planned for this mod. I do not know whether I will continue this mod because of this as I haven't decided where I want to go with the mod. If i come up with anything I will release it, but it probably wont be very similar to what the mod is right now. I thank everybody who has used and enjoyed this mod in the past. I will leave the old thread below along with the download links for the previous versions for those who may want them.
WOW, over 200 Downloads! Thanks guys.
Updates:
4/7:
Small update, see changelog.
Old news
4/4:
Major update to Minecraft 1.2.5, many things changed, see change log below for info.
-Updated Images.
3/30:
Update for minecraft 1.2.5pre-release(even though it is basically the full release). ModLoader isn't updated yet, so you get no keybind to open the creative inventory. However I added a button at the top of the inventory screens to easily switch between them. Also I changed the name.
When modloader updates, i will update along with full port to ModLoader(i figued out how to not edit the base classes!, from when i update the mod fully to 1.2.5, it will require modloader no matter what to function).
3/29:
So i released a fix that would hopefully resolve the chat issue yesterday, but it was a fast "dirty" fix so only after i shut stuff down did I realize i only changed it for chatting, so signs and other GUIs would probably be affected as well....so v0.2.2 should be a "clean" fix and there shouldn't be any issues with it. I am very sorry if this caused confusion and/or annoyance. 3/28:
Ok, so i might have figured out the problem with hitting the keybind while typing chat on a server, but i really don't know, please download the newest version and please leave feedback as to whether i fixed it or not. Thankyou.
Info:
This mod basically makes opening your inventory in creative mode, open the regular survival inventory. It is meant to provide the means to have more space to hold stuff with big mods(like Redpower 2) and be able to use creative mode along with the other mods. I know that there is at least one other mod that makes creative mode/inventory better, however, this doesn't edit any base classes.
(This mod is best used with an inventory editor like TooManyItems or NotEnoughItems, but is not needed.)
This is my first mod and it isn't very big(at all), but I find it very useful and I hope some other people will too.

Mod Review by NvGBoink:(v0.3.1/0.3.2)
Thanks!
This Mod works in Multiplayer!
The time and weather functions no matter what work on single player, for multiplayer you must have sufficient rights to use commands. The commands that are sent to the server (/time, /weather) are changeable in your "/.minecraft/mods/Creative+/settings.properties" file. I don't know if vanilla servers support weather, but they support time.
DL:
v0.3.2 http://www.mediafire...8k4jnabasdldfz5 for Minecraft 1.2.5
This mod basically removes the ain.class(GuiInventory) and the sr.class(GuiContainerCreative), so it will override any mod that edits these two classes. The mod should still work, you just wont get the functionality of that mod when using your inventorys(does not include chests, furnaces, etc.).
Installation:
Navigate to your .minecraft folder and put the downloaded zip file into your mods folder and run Minecraft!.
If you have a prefered installer(like MCpatcher or Magic Launcher)then follow their instructions to install mods.
Change Log:
v0.3.2
-Made Time and Weather work on a server, must have server rights to use.
--Commands are changeable in a config file located at /.minecraft/mods/Creative+/settings.properties
---Change the defaults to your servers commands, it will generate the command prefix's if you
----accidentally delete them, or just delete the file and run Minecraft to generate a new one.
-Made the mod detect whether TooManyItems or NotEnoughItems(should work when NEI is updated) so
--that a big button is in the way of the TMI/NEI itempanal screen. Please ask in the forums if you ---need something like this for a different mod!, and I will make sure to fix it.
v0.3.1
Update to Full Minecraft 1.2.5.
-***Requires modloader to work.
-no more base-class editing
-added scroll buttons to creative menu(faster scrolling)<<=Top <=go up a bit >= go down a bit >>=go to bottom
-added some items to the menu(i.e. potions, and other blocks)
-added singleplayer time and weather buttons(click once to change) T=time, will go night if day and day if night. W=weather will rain if not rain, not rain if rain(there is also a random chance for thunder)
-added buttons at the top of the GUIs to allow easy switching of the two inventories
-added x's to close the GUIs for no big reason(nicer look i guess...)
v0.3
Update to Minecraft 1.2.5pre.
v0.2.2
Fix previous fix.
v0.2.1
Fix server chat bug when using keybind.
v0.2
Update to Minecraft 1.2.4
v0.1:
Initial Release
Wait so how do you access the regular creative inventory? If you can't maybe you should keybind the survival inventory or the creative inventory to a different key so that you can have two inventories.
Wait so how do you access the regular creative inventory? If you can't maybe you should keybind the survival inventory or the creative inventory to a different key so that you can have two inventories.
If you have ModLoader, there is a keybind that you can change in order to access the normal creative inventory, otherwise, without ModLoader, you cannot access the normal Creative Inventory(idk how to make a keybind without modloader )
Edit: changed the OP to show this more clearly.
Edit2: Actually, i'm sure i could figure it out, but its just so easy with ModLoader lol.
there seems to be an error with not enough items, dont know if you care but here it is.

I don't know where you're crashing. But I got NEI too, and both are working flawlessly for me (the 0.1 original version).
To the author, thank you. You don't know how much this means to me to have something like this again. And not just for 1.2.3, but 1.2.4 as well.
It's badly made, tho - at least in 1.2.3 - trying to bind it to a key I use in chat makes it unusable in chat, I had to bind it to tab and rebind the player list to F4.
Could you please fix this?
I did find this and i looked into it, ill look again, but I don't always play on a server(even tho all i have to do is turn it on because i have one on a computer across the room), it doesn't do this with singleplayercommands, so maybe it is a server side thing. The Inventory should only open when no other gui is open(and the chat is technically a gui). And it isn't necessarily badly made, it's just really small.
there seems to be an error with not enough items, dont know if you care but here it is.

I also have and use NEI and i have never had this sort of problem, maybe its the forge version, idk but i do know that forge is out for 1.2.4 now, however Chicken Bones is on vaction so he is unable to update NEI right now.
And if anyone cares, i think the biggest use for this in my opionion is using it with RedPower2 because of all the different colored wires and array blocks
I 100% agree.
Ok so here are some installation instruction as detailed as i can possible make them for installing this mod:
1.) What Minecraft version are you using? if you are using Minecraft 1.2.4 then download v0.2.2 of this mod, if you got the Minecraft 1.2.5 pre-release then use v0.3 of this Mod. Put the mod zipfile somewhere on your computer where you can find it.
2.) Hold the windows key(the one with the flag looking thing) and then press R, the run dialogue box should appear, then put %appdata% into the input bar and hit enter or click ok. This should bring to you roaming folder.
3.) open the .minecraft folder(it should be at like the top of the list), and open the bin folder inside of the .minecraft folder.
4.)look for a file called minecraft.jar(exact spelling) and open the file with a file archiver(like win-rar or 7zip or something else that opens files, the default computer archiver does't recognize .jar files)
5.)once you've opened the minecraft.jar you, should see a bunch of folders and like a million class files(theres more classes than folders) at this point you can minimize everything for a minute and return the mod zip you downloaded, open this zip folder with you file archiver and you should see 2 class files.
6.)Copy all of these class files and return the minecraft.jar window(where you see a million files) and paste the 2 mod files inside of the jar(over-right everything if prompted to).
6.5)If you want to install Modloader, then basially do the samething you do here with modloaders files(they install the same way), theres just more class files to put in.
7.)close out of everything and run the game normally
If you don't understand any of this, then please tell me.
I hadn't seen this one before but as I state in the op,there are others that I probably don't know about. However, it appears he is still on Minecraft version 1.1 so i see where you are coming from.
Davidknag achieved his inventory without editing base classes, he just has a keybinding that opens a modified creative inventory, which is ok and almost what i want to do. I want to try and use a trick to detect whether either inventory is open and if they are, then close them and display them. that way there aren't a million keybinds or confusion.
Edit: Already figured this out, will be in v0.3.1 when Modloader updates
Anyone know how to send commands to a server? I was extremely close to having the time and weather working in the server. But, entityplayer.addChatMessage buffers it as a normal chat and the server doesn't get the "/" input so the command is displayed as a normal chat message. If i can figure this out the you guys will be able to use time and weather on server, complete with config file to define server specific commands(the config was easier to figure out than this...).
Uploaded v0.3.2 which gives the time and weather powers available to server, made the inventory buttons not interfere with TMI/NEI(NEI isn't updated yet but should still work when it is updated)
