uh, I've seen the posts on pmc or the endstone, obsidian, and netherrack tools, and I think they are very overpowered. the reason diamond lasts so long and works so well is its rarity, whereas obsidian is very easily obtained with a diamond pickaxe, the Nether is made of netherrack, and endstone is very easy to get once you reach the end, making tools that are better than diamond tools much, much easier to get than diamond tools. I would suggest that netherrack tools work better than diamond, but last as long as stone, endstone being the same, but durability of iron, and obidian lasting in between diamond and iron, but works like a stone tool. that seems much, much more balanced than the way it currently is.

I didn't mean to insult you or troll you in any way, shape, or form, just trying to tell you how to better your mods! I would seriously use the obsidian tools if they weren't so overpowered!

Everything from the durability to how enchantable is editable in the config. You could have it last one use

I'm using the Obsidian Tools & Armor mod, I like the mod alot but I want to be able to remove obsidian stairs from the mod, reason being is that I use the Better Blocks and Items mod which adds obsidian stairs that come with the special features of that mod, so I end up with two types obsidian stairs. Also less importantly I'd like to be able to remove the Paxel.

P.S. Oh, I guess you are talking about the 1.3.2 version from planetminecraft.com. I have not tried it and would not. I do not know who invented the Paxel, but this tool spoils the game.

Anyway, you can use "Cavaj Java Decompiler 1.11", "JD GUI 0.3.4" or something like that to decompile "Items.class", "ObsidianCore.class" and "Util.class" inside the mod. They will give you *.java files that you can edit with Notepad++ or another text editor. Theoretically you should remove "obsidianStairs" and "obsidianPaxel" lines from them so they won't recall the "BlockObsidianStairs.class" and "ItemObsidianPaxel.class". Then you can remove those two classes and compile the java files with "IntelliJ IDEA" or something. Possibly you will need some minecraft.jar files in order to compile the mod. You should use this to decompile Minecraft files.

This is all in theory. I have only basic knowledge about these things. Anyway I think this is the way to do it..

Hey, I just saw your amazing mods, End Stone++. Netherrack++, Obsidian++, and Glowstone++, and I thoguht those were cool mods, so I went and downloaded all 4 of those mods. I thought, well, if I can install one of them, can they all be together? So, I tried it out and I wasn't able to join my singleplayer world but I could join servers that didn't have the mods, if you know why, can you please help me?

i installed the netherrack ++ , enderstone ++ and the obsidian ++ mods. there all good but i ran into diffeculty... i cant craft the ingets from the nether, obsidian, or enderstone :\. i watched the videos and i tried it in minecraft and it just wont smelt the netherrack or the crumbs + obsidian = netherrack ingets X. didnt work. please help and you did a good job on makeing some of the more useless matterials useful lol.

I too am able to make Netherrack crumbs, but have been unable to make ingots. Did the recipe change from what is in the video maybe?

I'm using Minecraft 1.4.2 and Forge 6.0.1.350 and just downloaded the latest versions of the PlusPlus mods from micdoodle8.com.

BUG #1
The 1st mod I tested was Netherrack++ but could not figure out what to do with the Netherrack Crumbs. I used a mod called CraftGuide 1.6.2.6 which shows all the recipes available. When selecting Netherrack Crumbs, it only shows the Netherrack Block in the Furnace to make the crumbs. It is missing the recipe to make the ingots. I confirmed the process with the End Stone++ mod and the CraftGuide does show both the process of making End Stone crumbs and End Stone ingots.

BUG #2
After testing Netherrack++ and End Stone++, I installed Obsidian++ and everything seemed to work fine for Obsidian++...however, when I placed an End Stone in a furnace, the result was NOT End Stone crumbs (ID: 760) but Obsidian Boots (ID: 760) instead!

The 3rd thing I noticed which is probably more of just how Minecraft works rather than this being a mod bug is that the glowstone armor acts like a water source block remover when wading through the water. Not exactly the sort of thing you want running loose on your server if you like keeping pretty ponds / lakes. This should at least be noted as a potential drawback to the mod much like the FPS performance hit.

I found these after about 5 minutes of testing them. I'm not sure if there are any other issues but I will edit this post if I find any more. I hope these bugs can get fixed...I'm really interested in using these.

I think you forgot to add in a recipe for the netherrack ingots, I can cook the netherrack into crumbs, but I don't seem to have any way to get ingots out of them. the recipe that did work in 1.2.5 doesn't anymore and no recipe is listed for ingots in NEI
