I would adore seeing a generator that generates farlands like landscape but for the general world.
For iceland, maybe a world where ice generates like ores do underground, with a few layers of snow blocks before you reach dirt then stone. Tall pine trees and frozen lakes/waterfalls.
This mod is awesome. Bringing back old generators and adding new ones is really innovative. However, I have a few criticisms, most of which already said by AntVenom:
-The new world generator is really cool, but the fact that it overrides the default generator is the biggest thing that turned me off from this mod. Like AntVenom said in his review, I'd also be thrilled if you'd make another world type where the new generator you've made takes effect.
-The new jungle/swamp water effect is kinda weird, but if you can turn it off that's fine-because it's a great, realistic idea but personally I think it would annoy me
That would be all my criticisms. Once again this is still a great mod and I thank you for it-I may be able to get over the whole 'seeds' thing soon anyways, lol (That wouldn't make it any less awesome if you made it a separate world type though, haha) Oh, and one last thing:You deserve a medal for the new village buildings thing, you're the only modder I've seen who actually adds new structures, as opposed to: "Look, the wool is in pwetty colors and the pathways are cobblestone now!"

i'm going to make a second mod called "better world generation Classic". which will include the biomes from the "better default" worldtype in BWG4 (like bwg1). It will also be compatible with alot more mods (like Better than wolves and Mystcraft) and less incompatible with forge

I have a problem that the world goes to load, but doesn't load. No crash report. Just sits there for over 10 minutes till I give up.
I got the same thing, hangs on world gen until crash or get bored and quit. must be something near the end during render phase, since the world actually does create and save to disk. then you can restart the game and go back, and it will load.
I think maybe a problem with forge or bigtrees, that one has been kind of unstable for me. did not get those problems when I don't have it installed with this.

overzealous moderators incapable of thinking for themselves are more of a danger to any forum than anyone trying to abuse it.
Is there a way to limit BWG villages generating because they're cool but they dont have the same perks as Vanilla (Blacksmiths, chest, bookshelfs,etc)

my mods are toomanyitems and opifine and modloader
looks like optifine and modloader don't work well together, i tried using modloader and optifine without this mod and i had the same problem. hopefully this will be fixed soon
Question: Will Strongholds, Witch Towers, NPC villages, Sandstone Temples etc spawn in the mod? If so, which terrain types?

Yes, they spawn on Large and normal worldtypes

However, is there any possibility that you could implement more height variation throughout the terrain? With the post-1.8 genorator, every single plot of land is flat, and the epic mountains biome looks plain ugly. looks like optifine and modloader don't work well together, i tried using modloader and optifine without this mod and i had the same problem. hopefully this will be fixed soon
