Oh man. You guys are all awesome. You know that? Best. Worldgen. Ever.
And, I will definitely stick to BWG and ExtraBiomesXL over TWDP_FTW's new mod for forge and compatibility any day! Nice to see modders working things out together!
Mystcraft is, among other things, a dimension manager mod. It permits multiple dimensions (called "ages") to be made, and used, with the ages having the ability to have custom generators.
It has an API to let other developers work with it.
Would you please hook up with that API, so that instead of:
Interesting. I can report that this is incompatible with Mystcraft. Maybe I did something wrong?

Let’s play good guys against bad guys… Yes. Let’s play that. Are you ready? You’re the bad guy. And when you’re bad, you just run. That’s fine right? Well… Shall we play?
ScottKillen was kind enough to get a lot of worldgen stuff added into Forge, so there already is one.
Wow, Forge has pretty much everything. Man, if everything used Forge, then you wouldn't have problems with mods being incompatible with Forge. Hell, they would probably have less incompatibility issues with each other! And maybe even more features due to ease of implementing them when you use Forge. Man, Forge is great.
Back on topic, though, how's progress on BWG 3 v1.1.1 for Forge? I'm interested to try out whatever it is that has to do with caves in the new version. I hope you didn't hit any walls you need to work around. That would be bad. It would be especially bad if it had to do with Forge itself.

Black as the shadow that yet remains and Red for the blood that runs in our veins.
This world generation stuff is really good. It's nicely complimented with BigTrees mod. Looking forward to seeing what you and ScottKillen come up with!
Forge isn't all butterflies in meadows. The dev of it, LexManos, is a jerk.
He just doesn't take the extra time to sugarcoat everything. This thread on the Forge forums really drives a few points home on how much time he spends for the minecraft community. Lex's post is the very last one on that thread. There's only 7 posts total, including the OP.
I'm not saying you have to agree with me. I'm just pointing out a post there that may clear some things up for folks who think Lex is a jerk simply to be a jerk.
First i felt in love with that mod. I even downgrade my Forge to try it out. But then i saw the Dessert biome. OMG! Where in real life have you ever seen mounty desserts? You know why desserts always flat? Because sand is friable. When wind is blowing sand goes from heights to bottoms and fills them up.
It could be best mod ever if not your sickness about big mountains.
Minecraft do landscape like that
I would like to see landscape like that
And you made it like that
Is there any way to reduce "epicness" of world generation, to make it more realistic and less mounty? I'm playing with Millenaire mod, and villagers just can't get enough of room to build town. Mountains EVERYWHERE! Even in PLAINS biome.

You ever see pictures of the dunes in the Sahara? I wouldn't call that flat.

Right! Dunes! Not mountains! Dunes never be 8 kms height like Everest Dunes have flat surface below them. Dunes are sand hills, not mountains covered by sand. See difference?
And i didn't say i need absolutely flat world. I just don't need mountains every where. If someone like mounty landscape just do mounty world type for them. Or just make an option for user to choose how flat or mounty world he prefers.

Well, seeing how I live in a desert with a desert mountains view at my house, yes I have seen them.
I also live quite near huge desert canyons and mountains.

I can personally report that I have BWG3, Biospheres, and Cave Gen working quite well together.

I do stuff and stuff.

In bottom of world generation, I would like to change a little.
This is now:
XSXSXSXS
SSSSSSSS
SSBSSBBS
BBBBBBBB
X = Anything
S = Stone
B = Bedrock
D = Diamond
L = Lava
And I want a layer of lava and maybe some diamonds there. Like this:
XXSXXXSXXXSXS
SSSSSSSSSSSSS
SSLSSSLLSSSLSS
LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
LLDLLLLDLLLLDLL
LLBLBBLDLBBLBD
BBBBBBBBBBBBB
And why not, some lava tunnels direct to ground? Some kind of lava pools...
This really change something...
What do you think, folks?
the only other mods i have installed are: to many items, forge, modloader, alien vs preditor mod. PLEASE HELP ME
But i have a strange problem with shadows in my 64x texture pack and this mod (without BWG there are no problems of shadows).
I used forge universal version, with the default texture pack or another as faithful, i have no problems.
Why this problem with the creatives_one medieval texture pack (dark textures) ?
Example :
Well, seeing how I live in a desert with a desert mountains view at my house, yes I have seen them.
I also live quite near huge desert canyons and mountains.
HALP PL0X!
I hope he didn't cancel it. I was looking forward to that one =(
like, what are the available types in the config.
level-type=...?
