I much prefer ad.fly, it allows me to contribute SOMETHING when I otherwise couldn't. (Not much, admittedly, but it's something)
The major problem IMO with adf.ly is that it often just doesn't work, period. There are mods I have never even been able to try out because the only download is on adf.ly and adf.ly for that mod simply refuses to work. And really, what tiny fraction of a cent does adf.ly pay per download/view? A lot less than adf.ly charges for the ads, I'll bet.
I don't see adf.ly as paying Minecraft mod creators; I see it as exploiting them. But I admit to a pre-existing prejudice to regard advertisers and marketers by default as lying weasels.
And DeMordrey, thanks for posting Ted's Patreon link.
I've noticed that the items in dungeon chests are different with Old World Gen (stuff like Dark Oak saplings and other otherwise unobtainable items). Do you happen to have a list of the items that dungeon chests can spawn?
Okay, so, first off, lemme just say that Realistic World Generator is freaking fantastic!!!
I'd also like to mention that I made an account on these forums just so I could make this post
I recently installed a mod which adds a new dimension based on RuneScape called WildyCraft.
After installing it, MC crashed during a new world generation (I always start a new world to test new mods). I tried a few more times and it still crashed. I played around with the config file form that mod based on the problems I saw on the page for that mod.
I'm not very good at reading the crash reports, but after taking another glance, I was able to glean that WildyCraft was conflicting with Realistic World Generator. In truth, I had some suspicions that these two might conflict, and it appears I was right. I removed RWG and made a new world, this time, no crash. I made a portal to the dimension added by WildyCraft and I played around with some of the items/mobs added by that mod.
Just for testings sake, I decided to put RWG back into my mods folder and load up the pre-existing world I had just been playing on. It loaded fine and I flew into a new chunk and the game didn't crash! But then I started a new world and it crashed again. The report from this final crash will be at the bottom of my post.
Now, I'm wondering if there's anything you can do about this confliction? Would it have to be solved by you, or the authors of WildyCraft? Or is this a problem I can fix? I'd love to have both these mods, but I host a private server for a few friends with RWG installed and I don't wanna have to do this work-around every time I want to make new single-player world. I don't really care if RWG affects the WildyCraft dimension, I just don't want the game crashing from the confliction.
(I hope this issue wasn't already solved, because I didn't read any of the previous posts since there's no many and I think WildyCraft is more of a niche mod)
((This mod is awe-mazing, keep up the fantastic work))
((I will also be posting this on the WildyCraft mod page)))

A detailed walkthrough of the error, its code path and all known details is as follows:
Since Version 1.3.2 i cant find any Natura Giant Trees any more. I think the World Gen looks much more epic in Version 1.3.01(sorry for that it is maybe only my opinion ). I keep this Version on my pc but maybe it is possible make all Versions available for download?
I hope the Oceans update look like the Screenshots i see than i am totally happy. God work btw.
Thanks in advance.

GTNH Modpack is on Technic Launcher Hotlist now and available on FTB and Curse Launcher too!!!
java.lang.NullPointerException: Exception getting block type in world
Could you add an option for 1.2.5 or 1.6.4 world generation? Because I have a map that I've used since 1.2.5, and 1.6.4 worldgen is pretty much the same, but when 1.7 came around, the edges of the map didn't line up with the old chunks.
Plus if you set that up, the curse rewards system is pretty nice. If lots of people use your mod in modpacks, then it = alot of downloads for your mod. And the downloads from curse give you points, 2000 points is redeemable for 100 bucks. Might be beneficial for you to put them on there.
Hello Ted, how does your RWG mod compare to the Alternate Terrain Generation mod? I love both of these mods and I'm gonna have to pick one to use for my survival world?
ATG and RWG are pretty different, so you'll have to try the two of them. ATG has been around for longer and is more developed, so has wider compatability, but personally (and I might point out it is very subjective) I prefer RWG over ATG, but as I said, it's personal preferance.
