"Errors" like that showing up in Magic Launcher don't mean it's incompatible, they mean it's overwriting files. That's working exactly as intended. The order, to overwrite correctly, should be ModLoader->Forge->BWG.
The crashing is another thing entirely, but you'll need to post a crashlog if you want any help with that, but I can say for sure that this is compatible with Forge and if you're getting crashes something else is going wrong. The only compatibility issues are with things like generating biome specific things (like trees) from mods, not with Forge itself, and certainly not crashes.
@ted80andModderKip - I mentioned compatibility with this to Azanor (Thaumcraft) as he's recently done compatibility with ExtraBiomesXL, he said you would need to provide an API "like the ExtraBiomes guys do". I guess that amounts to a fair bit of work, but long-term it would make compatibility much easier. Is there any chance it's something you might consider in the future?
I haven't had time to do the proper log yet. However, the only mods I included in my crash test were ModLoader, BWG2, and Forge. I tried it both ways and it only crashed when Forge was loaded first. I'll try it again later today.
I am using the snapshot, so sadly I wont be able to use this mod untill minecraft 1.3 gets released. But im using the 'large biomes' world type from the snapshot, will it still be possible to get the terrain from BWG3 into the world? and it wont replace the vanilla terrain?
If so that would be awesome. UNLESS you for some reason make a larger biomes worldtpye which makes biomes 16x bigger and has all the biomes from BWG3 in it.
What would also be awesome is if you could make a portal and travel to each of the worldtypes. I know youre mostly into the terrain, but a portal to travel to each world type would be awesome, you wouldnt have to create a new worldtype to see... the skylands or something, you could just go there on your main world through a portal.
I also have a few cool ideas for new biomes. Not sure if some are already in bwg3 but here they are:
1.Mountain ranges. Made of grass and trees at the bottom, but in the middle, stone and at the very top snow. Make them extremely high, like the Rocky Mountains.
2. Better swamps. Have it mostly water, but huge trees 16-32 blocks high. The trunk could be 2x2. Have big roots coming out of the ground too.
3.Ice burgs. mountains in the ocean that are made up of completely ice and snow. Occur mostly near tundras.
4. Better rainforests. Have huge trees, kinda like the extreme jungles but no mountains and less water. Trees can go up to 64 blocks high, with smaller trees under themthat go up to 32 blocks high, and random small bushes and treeson the bottom. The tall trees and medium trees will block the sunlight so it will be darkish in them.
Not sure if you like any of the ideas, but I think theyre cool.
Also what are the other 20 biomes?
Please, when you have time answer all my questions.

It is more about the orginal biomes with some extra's that suit I think. Your proposing something tat would be more like what MisterFiber does with his ExtrabiomesXL mod with the unique trees and the rest.

I am going to assume from the numerous unsuccessful attempts I had that BWG2 and BWG3test won't work with the snapshots. Is this accurate, or am I doing something dumb?
Whatever the case, I'd like to thank you for making this, even if I can't get it working, yet. I recently started thinking about getting back into Minecraft, but hadn't actually played since 1.7.3. When I went to go look up some neat seeds, I ran into Shreader's arrogantly-handled-but-unfortunately-still-possessed-of-a-decent point "Seeds are useless" thread, and was dismayed to find out that the bizarre geology and geometry of the landscapes I had known were no longer around.
Eventually I heard about your mod, and from what I can see, this is going to be exactly the solution to my problems. If you could clarify one thing, though, that'd help: Using BWG2 (and 3 when it comes out), if I were to make a new world with the 1.7.3 type, it'll still have all the post-1.7.3 content and features and whatnot, just with none of the smooth, curved, boring landscapes that came with them, right?
I could use some help. I haven't played MC since around 1.8.1 or so.
I freshly downloaded and re-installed the .minecraft folder in order to play again cleanly.
First, I downloaded ModLoader and Forge, and installed those correctly. After this, I cleanly installed Buildcraft and Industrialcraft on to my client.
But when I install BWG2, it doesn't work correctly. It shows "default, flat, BWG2" but when I select BWG2, it says "switching level" and then the screen turns black. I can't correctly install BWG for whatever reason.

Hi,
I'running 1.2.5 with BWG1.
I installed BWG1 first, then installed Modloader, overwriting ahy.class. Minecraft runs, but I wonder if there are world errors. Do I have to reinstall in the other order or is BWG1 not compatible with Modloader ?
Okay...waiting for BWG3 before getting this but I have questions
1) Is there a way to make farlands optional? I don't really understand what the farlands is. I don't want to accidentally find it while exploring the world.
2) How will this mod work with emerald ore (being that they only spawn in extreme hills) and desert structures and desert villages? (from the new snapshot)
3) Will/do villages generate glitchy?
I'm waiting to use this mod until BWG3 comes out and its updated to a version that has emeralds in it....so maybe when you release bwg3 it could also come with the latest snapshot?
P.S.cant wait for world generation 3!
However BWG2 is based of minecraft beta 1.7 so the question remains unanswered
yes it is

it's the beta worldtype.
the snow on mountains idea sounds awesome!
better world generation 2 or 3?
i'm putting them together
I love this Mod!
3.
And glad you like the idea of the mountains
Better world generation is incompatible with Epic SIege Mod http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/856424-125-epic-siege-mod/page__st__140: abn.class is changed by both mods. What is abn.class for, would it be easy to make compatible ?

Anyone know a fix to this?
edit: can you give me an error log?
