HI chylex, i have see the new dungeon for the forest biome. I see a bug, the dungeon is cut hen generation of island is small . I hace see the reward too, maybe 30% less diamonds and many gold ingots can be cool (many mods use gold too ).
I had some problem to found biome at the start (in creative mod). I think it is because the biome are generated with a grid ( with variation, i know). But when a player start to search biome when he is not in the grid, the difficulty for found a biome is huge.
Other thing about ender goo, It is possible to stabilize water/goo interactions(for optimise memory/CPU ?) and create a special interaction for lava/goo (strange comportement) . An imrpovement of the comportement between liquid can be nice.
Nice upgrade anyway dude :D. No time to test everything yet but very nice. I hope the end is very very very very hard haha
I know about the cut off islands, it only happens when you approach the islands from north or east. Haven't figured out why that is, but it seems the magic number where it cuts off is 152 (full size is 208). I changed the way the islands place blocks, so next update will have that fixed + work faster.
The grid is something I've been trying to tweak a lot, the vanilla generation limits me in a way but I will try to tweak it a bit more. The Biome Compass is there to show nearby biomes and make it easier for people to find the biomes.
For Ender Goo optimization, you have to wait for 1.8 which makes block updates marginally faster. Can't do much at this moment, except for letting people disable all interactions in the config.
Hardcore Ender Expansion 1.6.2 is out!
The 1.6.2 release is finally here! If you used the pre-release, please update the mod as soon as possible.
So, let's summarize what is in the update! Bugfixes first - Biome Islands should generate much better now, so if you see any chunk holes, reload the world as it's very likely just client-side. The Temple Caller should also work more reliably, and shouldn't spam the log as much if it fails.
And now, the features! Major feature is a completely new Biome Island variation of Burning Mountains, the Mine. Along that comes a completely new mob, which is incredibly dangerous but drops a new item, which can be used to craft the Scorching Pickaxe!
The pre-release introduced a completely new mechanic, the Charms. There were around 40 different Rune crafting combinations. In the final release, the amount has doubled! Many new Charms were added with completely unique effects, such as Damage Redirection which redirects some of the damage you take to nearby mobs, or Last Resort which gives you a chance to save yourself from death!
Lots of polishing was done too. Large portion of the particle effect system was refactored for easier use. Several new particle effects were added (especially concerning Charms, which makes them much more dynamic), and some existing effects, such as Dragon Egg teleportation, were marginally improved!
There were many more changes and fixes - Enchanted Island has changed a lot, the battle music + music discs have returned (but the config/HardcoreEnderExpansionMusic folder will no longer work, unfortunately), I've rewritten logging system to be less spammy for the users (and also help me measure speed of various parts of code)... a lot of small stuff that wasn't significant enough to make it into the already giant changelog.
