Hi, just discovered this mod. I haven't installed it yet but as I am *just* able to go into the end with my current world I feel like it may be the right time to try it out. I haven't actually visited the end yet so it should work fine. However, I'm wondering about compatibility with other mods. I have lots of other mods like Biomes O Plenty, Natura, Metallurgy 3, Twilight Forest, Thaumcraft 4 and so on. Several of these mods also affect the end I believe. Are there known incompatibilities with some mods?
Thanks!

As long as those mods don't completely take over the chunk generator, it should be fine. However, there are known issues with mods that modify the way Dragon Egg works.
This version, apart from bunch of the stuff rewritten to work with 1.7.2, contains several tweaks to mechanics. Most noticeable is Stardust, which now requires a Decomposition Table, and Transference Gem, which requires Ender Pearls to work. These are some of the balancing changes, and there will be more very soon, so stay tuned! If you have any ideas on how to balance some features better, let me know (or if you're unhappy with some of the balancing change, but I expect arguments as to why I shouldn't have done that).
I will try to get the wiki updated very soon, mainly for recipes and some of the changes that aren't documented yet. The Ender Compendium will need to be updated too, but I will do that with next update, which will include another big balancing change.
For the programmers out there, I have started an official API. There will be a website with examples and javadocs whenever I find time to do it, but right now you can just reference the jar, import chylex.hee.api.HeeAPI and take a look ;).
In the main post, there are warnings before downloading the beta version. Please, read them carefully! Report any bugs and crashes, so they can be fixed in the soon-to-be-finished 1.5.1. And most importantly, enjoy!
(also, here's a little bit of art I made when debugging some code using fake blocks - http://imgur.com/a/Pjt0s)
I'm not sure exactly what's causing it, but both this and Extra Biomes XL cause a crash, whether they are installed separately or together. I'll be posting this in both threads. Here is my ForgeModLoader-client-0.log
I can also supply a list of all my mods if it would help
Latest Twilight Forest and Hardcore Ender Expansion are having Achievement id conflicts and no way to configure them for either.
I'm adding achievement config today, got a report of TF conflict already. It will be a silent update (for both 1.4.3 and 1.5) because it's nothing too big (and getting proper updates out always takes about 30 minutes). I will report the update here and on my Twitter.

Looks like HEE crashes with Twilight Forest (mentioned above), the Extra Biomes XL crash looks just random and probably doesn't have anything to do with HEE.
I would like to note that full compatibility is possible with Thaumcraft and Thaumic Tinkerer and KAMI, and the endermen still do drop End Shards (angry ones don't though, so beware).
those death flowers are really annoying... it kinda demolished the front of my base when I planted them there and left one to die. still... it could have its uses.
I have no ID conflicts of any sort between TF and this, though I can't be sure.
DragonMounts doesn't seem to be conflicting with this mod at all, thankfully. I haven't tested a temple caller yet, but it seems to work for all other uses. (haven't done anything at all with the egg, except make it spawn.)
I highly recommend this mod to anyone who is looking around at it.
I have an issue that (it's difficult to make sure these are the exact parameters) whenever the Ender Dragon or Baby Ender Dragon attacks or hits something, my game crashes with this error: Internal exception: java.io.IOException: Received string length longer than maximum allowed (22 >20)
Basically it happens within 5 seconds of being in The End. Not sure how to fix :/
EDIT: I am trying to run it on a server. There are also numerous errors that occur on the server console. First, when the server is starting, it gives a few Error: Item ID mismatches. And every once in a while it says that it is failing to load Stardust. Not sure what that's about. Not sure if that helps any :/

I need the whole crash report or log, the error is absolutely useless to me.
Apologies again.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled my minecraft server and client just to make sure of things and get a fresh slate.
I still get the same crash, and it happens specifically when the Ender Dragon attacks or hits something.
Here's a log of the server starting, and you can see where the crash happens.
Again, everything else on the server seems to be running as normal. http://pastebin.com/bLLnGZtJ
Reuploaded HEE 1.4.3 and 1.5, added achievement config and fixed server crash in 1.5.
Downloaded 1.4.3 again and put it on my server. Still the same twilight forest conflict/crash and no new lines in the config file for changing achievements. I tried letting it regenerate the config to see if that makes a difference but it crashes before the config's values get written. It creates the file, but stays empty.

You could just generate a config file in single player and use that instead. It's under "achievementStartId"

Sorry, again there's no mention of HEE in the crash, so I can't do anything about it.
Thanks!

It doesn't appear to run on any servers, I'll patch it up today.

you have a great mod going here.

Hope this helps!
The crash doesn't mention HEE anywhere. You seem to have installed some client mod on a server...

I put I:achievementStartId in the general section and assigned a value manually and that fixed it. Thanks for the tip!
