I have a suggesion for you! :biggrin.gif:
the Green ore (dont feel like looking it up) when used to mine drops 5 XP at the most! ya know... cause it's green? :tongue.gif:
cant really think of anything else at the moment... ill get back to you on that. :smile.gif:
EDIT: and does this mod auto-resolve block conflicts? cause i have a bunch of other mods that add new blocks... it would be really useful if this one auto-resolved! :smile.gif:
Thanks for the idea,
and,
I don't think it auto resolves, I didn't program it too. :unsure.gif:
I would just like to say, anyone that has downloaded Version 1.0, and liked it, should definitely download the newest version, 1.1! Has some bug fixes and makes the ores mineable with only certain pickaxes :wink.gif:
Well done Andy, good to see youre updating things, especially specific picks for mining otherwise it starts to get unbalanced.
Like the latest update, keep up the good work !

Thanks! I'm currently working on update 1.2
I made the fire sword for meteorite, but lots more to come! Thanks for the encouragement, and hopefully the update will come out within the next couple of days. :wink.gif:
To begin, there is no possible way that Andy copied your mod's name. The phrase "Crazy Ores" is very basic. "Crazy" is a word that could (and often is) used in everyday conversation. "Wow, really? That's crazy!" This would make it ineligible for copyright too, since its such a basic word. "Ores" is what the mod adds. I see that your mod adds ores too, but it is very obvious that Andy did not copy your mod or the name. Let's compare:
ORE: An ore is a type of rock that contains minerals with important elements including metals. The ores are extracted through mining; these are then refined to extract the valuable element(s).
So lets examine Andy`s mod first, he has Copper a real ore, Zectium a fictional ore, meteorite (we all know this one) and Gems.
OK lets go through these shall we, firstly the ORE, then the GEMS.
COPPER: The metal and its alloys have been used for thousands of years. In the Roman era, copper was principally mined on Cyprus, hence the origin of the name of the metal as сyprium (metal of Cyprus), later shortened to сuprum. Its compounds are commonly encountered as copper(II) salts, which often impart blue or green colors to minerals such as turquoise and have been widely used historically as pigments. Architectural structures built with copper corrode to give green verdigris (or patina). Decorative art prominently features copper, both by itself and as part of pigments.
GEMSTONES: A gemstone or gem (also called a precious or semi-precious stone, a fine gem, or jewel) is a piece of mineral, which, in cut and polished form, is used to make jewelry or other adornments.[1][2] However certain rocks, (such as lapis lazuli) and organic materials (such as amber or jet) are not minerals, but are still used for jewelry, and are therefore often considered to be gemstones as well. Most gemstones are hard, but some soft minerals are used in jewelry because of their luster or other physical properties that have aesthetic value. Rarity is another characteristic that lends value to a gemstone.
So there we have Andy`s "Ores and Minerals", now lets go and look at your "ORES".
Cardboard is a generic term for a heavy-duty paper of various strengths, ranging from a simple arrangement of a single thick sheet of paper to complex configurations featuring multiple corrugated and uncorrugated layers. = It is not mined so is not an Ore.
Bubble wrap is a pliable transparent plastic material commonly used for packing fragile items. Regularly spaced, protruding air-filled hemispheres (bubbles) provide cushioning for fragile items. = It is not mined so is not an Ore.
Styrofoam is a trademark of The Dow Chemical Company for closed-cell extruded polystyrene foam currently made for thermal insulation and craft applications. In 1941, researchers in Dow's Chemical Physics Lab found a way to make foamed polystyrene. = It is not mined so is not an Ore.
Chrome plating, often referred to simply as chrome, is a technique of electroplating a thin layer of chromium onto a metal object. The chromed layer can be decorative, provide corrosion resistance, ease cleaning procedures, or increase surface hardness. = It is not mined so is not an Ore.
Linoleum (informally abbreviated to lino) is a floor covering made from renewable materials such as solidified linseed oil (linoxyn), pine rosin, ground cork dust, wood flour, and mineral fillers such as calcium carbonate, most commonly on a burlap or canvas backing; pigments are often added to the materials. = It is not mined so is not an Ore.
I wont do them all, I think we get the point. Please dont say yours are Ores, theyre not and please now leave the modder in peace as he is making a good mod here and actually uses ores in it so the name does reflect his mod.
Cheers,
TG

hey there
nice mod would you mind if i did a video on it my youtube is B1ueTigerNinja PLEASE REPLY
hi and yes! you can! I must tell you before you make it, I recently found one error and its that I forgot the crafting recipe for Zectium Leggings, but i fixed that, and will be implemented in the future update Version 1.2
XeriaX911 made a video on this mod and thats actually how i found the "glitch"
but otherwise, yes! Thanks and hope you enjoy the mod! More to come soon :biggrin.gif:
In your ore details, you have Zectium as being able to be mined by Ruby and Sapphire pickaxes, but neither return an ore block.
Also when mining Ruby I was getting 2 gems every time.
Thanks,
TG
OH MY GOD I'm so sorry, my friend makes the forum page, (ISQ)... but I take full responsibility for this :sad.gif: I'm going to fix everything, and I'm really sorry.
And Ruby was ment to drop more then one, but I have also been thinking about making it just one, since its supposed to be rare. There are actually a lot of things that need to be fixed sadly. :sad.gif:
Thanks for your interest, and everything should hopefully be fixed in 1.2 :unsure.gif:
