(Yes I made a new post because the old one had the wrong format for title)
Dear Diary,
Today, I wanted to start a custom map. It was going to be a really cool adventure with underground areas galore! I went onto Minecraft, and selected Super-Flat/Creative and started to dig out an area when I hit bedrock. Then I remembered, Jeb made this really low to the ground. Then I looked up and saw all the stupid bedrock fog and slimes everywhere. This made me frustrated... so I made a mod and decided to share it on minecraftforum.net!
Sincerely,
snickers10m
This mod is a simple one, but extremely helpful in the creation of custom maps. Using the super-flat mode by Jeb can be frustrating, but using this mod, you can customize it however you want!
Instructions:
Select super-flat when creating a new world.
In the "seed" box that you would normally leave empty, type how many layers you want in the world. 1 will be just bedrock. 2 will be one layer of bedrock, one layer of grass. Anything above 128 or below 1 will turn out to be the default: 41. 41 will be what is shown below: (1 layer bedrock, 39 dirt, 1 grass)
Windows:
1. Go to Start... Run... and type in %APPDATA%. Click OK.
2. Navigate to .minecraft/bin
3. With an archiver such as WinRar or 7-Zip, open up minecraft.jar.
4. Drag and drop wo.class from the FlatButFlatGenerator folder into minecraft.jar.
5. Close everything and run minecraft normally.
Mac:
1. Go to Applications... Utilities and open terminal.
2. Type in the following, line by line:
cd ~
mkdir mctmp
cd mctmp
jar xf ~/Library/Application\ Support/minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar
3. Outside of terminal, copy all the files and folders into the mctmp directory.
4. Back inside terminal, type in the following:
rm META-INF/MOJANG_C.*
jar uf ~/Library/Application\ Support/minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar ./
cd ..
rm -rf mctmp
5. Run Minecraft, enjoy!

Changelog
1.1: Added seed-box customizing.
1.0: Made the mod.
Great work, i love it, heres a suggestion though:
Why not make it so in the seed we can also select a block type besides grass, for example if i want smooth stone or just alot of water.
Once again, Thank you for removing the slime problem in super flat creative!
To install most mods, I'm pretty sure you just have to drag the files to minecraft.jar and then delete META-INF.
If you have better instructions for mac, give 'em here, please! And yes, for windows that's what you do, I just explained how to do it.Fixed the link, it was a bad one before.

if i behave weird in my post; it's not that i am weird actually. I like to pretend being weird just for the satisfaction of me and to make the community feel more normal. herpy herpy derp. btw, comic sans.
This is like the 7th mod I seen that makes super flat bigger One such is with the more world types mod that add's superflat + to the world types as well as another super fkat that includes the biomes/trees and such just.. on a flat land.
It's nice, but a bit over done :3
and if you want a custom landscape for a custom map.. try world painter xD (in the tools forum)
Now customizable!
