What's Happening?
And one more thing, if the Modloader version of Treecapitator does not require forge, why does MagicLauncher always keep telling me after I try to install it, "No Forge" and it doesn't work?
How do you get the vanilla break speeds back. I have treeHeightDecidesBreakSpeed=false but the wooden axe (the item I was using as a test) is still slower than the hand. I loaded the game in vanilla and the wooden axe is faster than the hand. I tried different values for breakSpeedModifier with no luck. I timed it roughly and the wooden axe takes about 2 seconds more (~6 seconds) than the hand (~4 seconds) with breakSpeedModifier=1 and about 3 seconds more with breakSpeedModifier=0.01 whereas in vanilla it takes about 2 seconds total to break a log using the wooden axe. After timing a few different values and the fact that the timings were very rough it seems that breakSpeedModifier doesn't do much at all. All in all this isn't a very big issue, it just seemed a bit off.
I have everything updated to 1.6.2 in my game and all is well (though it took several days to get there.) Well, almost everything...
For the life of me I can't figure out what to do with TreeCapitator. All of your stuff downloads as zip files except TC which downloads as a jar file. Why is this? You say to not put it in the mods folder but instead to put it in the "coremods" folder --- but I see no coremods folder.
Are we supposed to "run" the downloaded file? It used to work fine in my MagicLauncher but no more. I'm lost...

With MagicLauncher you need to run the Forge installation file then start the game then quit... then add the regular Forge zip like before. When you run the Forge installation file it will create a new directory in the Minecraft version folder -- I use that new folder as the name of my game.

It goes directly in the 'mods' folder along with the bspkrCore, and it should work

I've tried everything I know with it and for some reason, Forge just will not work at all with MagicLauncher! It works just fine in the new launcher without any other mods installed, but when I try to install the mods I want to use (Optifine, TreeCapitator, ReiMinimap, InGameInfo, TooManyItems) it doesn't work.

Found the "coremods" folder referred to in the instructions here but that didn't work. Put the TC mod in the regular mods folder and it did work. (I feel like Creeper bait when I'm chopping a tree, LOL! It's okay though... I appreciate the realism.)

Converting to the new MagicLauncher was a nightmare for me but I did finally get it going. You need to download TWO Forge files; the installer and the universal. After you run the installer you get a new directory... be sure to set MagicLauncher to that new directory (it should show up in two of the three lines in the top section of the launcher screen.)
After that it's just like before. In my case, I store the mods in a folder in My Documents then link the MagicLauncher to them. You may have a different way -- but whatever the case, it works like before. The first mod to load is Forge "universal" and the last in is Optifine.
I'm knocking on wood for you because I promise you, I've been to hell and back with custom content in this game so I know what it's like.
Good luck! (And be sure to use the Forge version of mods.)
So, I had TreeCapitator and some other mods that I took off. Cause I was checking for mod conflicts.
Away, I have forge, optifine, rei's minimap, sim-u-kraft and treecapitator. They all worked together until I put a survival map on, underground 2. Now, I'm get an ID matching, ID 17 and treecapitator is no longer working. Can any one, please, help me? I'm not using rei's minimap or sim-u-kraft in underground 2 but I would like to use treecapitator with the survival map. It would make things go a little faster.
Well, this is interesting, I think Treecapitator is causing an odd problem... trees are being cut down just fine, it's just that... using an axe takes three times longer than punching it! I've removed the mod and the axe is just fine, only with this mod. Almost negates the purpose of the axe. Is anyone else getting this? Is it on purpose? Can I fix this?
Hey I downloaded a new mod that integrates more tool sets and other trees. My question is I'm trying to understand how to add them into the config file for treecapitator so I can chop down those trees easily, and so I can use the tool ids in this mod. Anyone cold please help into what I need to really type?
I'm curently using the ftb unleashed mod pack and I have downloaded bspkr's core and the forge version of tree capacitor both in 1.5.2 same as the modpack and I got this error please help

First, let me just say a massive thank you for all your hard modding work. Of the many mods that I use and have used, it is more than safe to say that most of your mods are required for me before I allow my minecraft to update. I find the game barely playable without a couple of them IMHO. That being said, I have a small request/feedback/suggestion for one of your mod. Namely, the Block breaker/Connected Destruction mod.
This handy little mod has quickly become one of my all time favorites. Used in conjunction with the FASTBUILD mod, the time saved with these mods is unbelievable at times. There are a couple of things I would love to see added to the block breaker mod though. I will just list them to keep it simple. Especially because of the fact that I write a lot and tend to be overly verbose most of the time.
1. A way of controlling how many blocks ABOVE the target block that BB will break.
2. A way of controlling how many blocks BELOW the target block that BB will break.
(These first two items will help with construction projects by keeping floors and
ceilings flat and level)
3. A means of configuring a permanent TOP and BOTTOM range for bb to work in so
like maybe we could have the config file tell bb to only break blocks above layer 64 so
that way we can easily make some flat areas for ourselves if we were making like a city
or roads or something like that.
4. Maybe a config option that simply tells bb that it can work with every block in the game.
I currently have a VERY long list of acceptable blocks in my configuration.
5. How about a SWAP/REPLACE option (ah-la .. WorldEdit) where we can replace one type
with another type rather than just break them. Although, this is a pretty far fetched change from
the basic premise of this mod, so I completely understand if you would not want to add an
option like that.
Okay, so, that's it. One more time, THANK YOU very much for all your time and effort! I am learning to code in Java and can code in a number of languages already. I SOOOOOO want to learn how to MOD. My problem is not the ideas or the coding, it is the PROCESS of modding. I believe that you could probably create a HOW TO MOD tutorial that would be very good. You should consider making one. If I could learn to MOD, I would probably lose my mind creating mods.
All of you complaining about the break speed with any axe, see my post here
Those of you running Modloader and Magic Launcher, as I recall, Magic Launcher reads the mod file and sees the Forge stuff in there and thinks it's a Forge only mod. The files are compatible with both Forge and Modloader so they have both file structures in the same zip. I'm pretty sure it should work even though Magic Launcher is saying no Forge.
Having said that, if you are running the Modloader version, your mod files DO NOT GO IN THE MAIN MODS FOLDER UNDER AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\mods. Run Modloader by itself once, then close Minecraft. Go to the versions folder that you are using, most likely the 1.6.2 folder if you are running that version with Magic Launcher. If you are pointing Magic Launcher to a different versions folder, then go there. It should now contain a new mods folder that Modloader just created, put your mod files there, not the main mods folder. They should be here: AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\versions\1.6.2\mods
TL:DR: Running Forge? Mods go here: AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\mods Running Modloader? Mods go here: AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\versions\1.6.2\mods
Having said that, I think the 804 release of Forge broke Treecapitator, at least it's not working for me any more and that's the only thing I can think has changed.

Same with the [1.6.2]bspkrsCorev3.03.zip file? If this is gonna work, I'd worship you in a way! (Because I've been trying so hard and so long to get this to work, and nothing)
All of you complaining about the break speed with any axe, see my post here
Thanks, I like it much more when it's disabled. For me, it was pointless upgrading my axe since a diamond axe was chopping at the same speed as a stone axe.

I'm knocking on wood for you because I promise you, I've been to hell and back with custom content in this game so I know what it's like.
Good luck! (And be sure to use the Forge version of mods.)

I'm experiencing this as well.
TL:DR:
Running Forge? Mods go here: AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\mods
Running Modloader? Mods go here: AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\versions\1.6.2\mods
Having said that, I think the 804 release of Forge broke Treecapitator, at least it's not working for me any more and that's the only thing I can think has changed.D_B
To tell them how to live is to prevent them living.
Same with the [1.6.2]bspkrsCorev3.03.zip file? If this is gonna work, I'd worship you in a way! (Because I've been trying so hard and so long to get this to work, and nothing)
Thanks, I like it much more when it's disabled. For me, it was pointless upgrading my axe since a diamond axe was chopping at the same speed as a stone axe.
