is it possible to obtain the 1.2.3 version of this mod anymore? Several other mods I use haven't updated to 1.2.4/1.2.5 and i would like to use this one with them as well.

I do have one non-trivial request if I may. Would it be possible to create a mod for ruin cities as once done in Formivores City Gen mod? I never got to try his mod and I think you of all modders could do it and do it well.

Does it work? It won't work for me. I can see Dim Torches on my Toomanyitems mod but I can't find any dungeons.
Some people find 3 right by spawn, some people go for miles before finding one. So it varies greatly. They spawn about 1 in 500 chunks (a chunk is a 16x16 area) just keep looking.

just finishing work on the smp version 0.4. i will be posting it soon. no major bug fixes. a couple minor balance changes (will come to ssp in its next update) the biggest thing is you can now create dungeons on command!
type "/makeDun" (caps sensitive) to make a dungeon where you are. note the entrance will not be on top of you. the corner of the dungeon will be directly below you. when its done it will tell you where it is, where the entrance is, how hard it will be, how big it is, and some other things.
you can also change how it will generate.
type "/width <number>" and you can change the width of the dungeon. note for this to take affect you need to type "/randomSize false",
type "/length <number>" and you can change the length of the dungeon. note for this to take affect you need to type "/randomSize false",
type "/minLength <number>" to change the minimum length of the dungeon. must be at least 10. note for this to take affect you need to type "/randomSize true",
type "/maxLength <number>" to change the maximum length of the dungeon. note for this to take affect you need to type "/randomSize true",
type "/minWidth <number>" to change the minimum width of the dungeon. must be at least 10. note for this to take affect you need to type "/randomSize true",
type "/maxWidth <number>" to change the maximum width of the dungeon note for this to take affect you need to type "/randomSize true",

i have had a lot of ideas for different dungeons types lately. i have a prototype of a cavern dungeon, and a plan for a tower system thingy. but i have not worked on any of them for long enough to be happy enough to release it yet. dammit tekkit is just so much fun! also i was cleaning out my room and i found the very first consent of the original dungeon .
any reports on the smp version? it a little bit hard for me to test that.
Just went to a Dungeon for the first time! Me and my wife got surrounded by zombies at some point, it was alot of fun.
i nice way to make even better would be add different levels (like "floors"? idk english). the "prizes" in the chests could be better i guess (maybe editable on the coming option.txt? it would be nice if i could add the possibility of a chest full of gold! Gold nuggets, gold armor, just for fun)
Dungeons mainly made of cobble stone, or Netherbrick could be nice, maybe.

I havent tried SMP. I will now, but you know what would be awesome? A nether dungeon! Nether fortresses aren't really much fun, so it would be a great addition to the game.

i started making a nether dungeon back when this post was still on page 2. did not get very far on it though. i definitely want to add something to the nether though.

Well anyway that's good news! The nether has seemed pretty lacking to me lately, but most mods for "better nether" don't do much but add some ores and like... a new tree or something to it :/
EDIT: Just looked at the pic, looks like a lot of fun. I'm not sure it needs any torches though, as the nether is already flooded with an ambient light. Plus, it might slow down mob spawning or something, which wouldnt be as much fun
the only problem i see with makeing shipwreaks is whell, the wreak. i think i could get the boat to work, but destroying it may be a little bit tricky. ill give it my best shot
I see your point, but It doesn't have to be completely demolished, just a huge hole in the side would be an awesome realistic-ish entrance, and you wouldn't have to flood the WHOLE place, just some of it. Idk if I'm saying too much or asking too much, but whatever, just suggestions.
(P.S. I know you are trying to preserve the random generation of dungeons, I just thought it was a cool idea. Any kind of new underwater dungeon would be fantastic. Also, some kind of floating sky dungeon would be pretty sweet, but Idk if that's even possible XD And geez this is a f*cking long post)
This is one of my favorite mods. In one world, I found a dungeon rising up out of a swamp, I cleared it out and turned it into my house. In addition, the very first cave I explored had 7 diamonds in it, and within walking distance underground, I found a stronghold cut through by a ravine. Pretty amazing
One request, could it be made to check if there's air beneath a possible TNT trap, and if so, the TNT trap doesn't form? It's kind of ugly when I walk through a ravine, look up, and see gravel and TNT hanging from the ceiling.
