Floaty Items

This mod is very simple. It makes dropped blocks and items float in water. So now when you kill a mob in water, you won't have to dive down to the bottom to get it.

Requires ModLoader
Download

Installation

Client:

Download the client .zip file from the link above.

Download and install ModLoader.

Drag all the files from FloatyItems.zip into your minecraft.jar file.

Delete the META-INF folder in minecraft.jar.

Play Minecraft!

Change Log

1.1 - Added multiplayer support. 1.01 - Made the floatiness much better. 1.0 - Initial release.

thats a good idea. I hate when i drown and cant find my things because its too dark

Can you make it where saplings left in water for about a day turn into a lily pad? I think it would be a useful way to farm them.

With this mod, is it possible to send items upwards with the aid of a water elevator? Because if it can, that would be wonderful! Also, this is a great mod, first I have seen of such nice tweak.

Could you make it so certain items float and certain items sink? because it would make more sense if leaves and most items floated whereas harder stuff like stone and obsidian still sunk.

I will probably have to tweak the way items float. I could make them bounce in the water like mobs, but that produces some annoying splash sounds. Hmm...
