I can confirm that I'm going to add the indev generator, which will be the next generator added to the mod.
I've deobfuscated it (to a runnable state), which I really don't want to do again! Now I need to extract the relevant parts of the code, write code to "glue" it to the new generator and write a generator settings screen to emulate the old one. This will probably take a couple of days.
Then you can all enjoy a nice dose of nostalgia! Also, indev maps could work well as survival type maps because of the limited resources.
On the contrary, one of my main goals from the start was to make it as compatible as possible. It edits only two base classes which are both purely related to world generation. One is the list of world types and the other was empty.
Thanks, but I've already ported the generator so I don't need it. What I'm working on now is to implement theme and type specific features, like forever day/night and removing the black void for floating maps.
Cactus was introduced in alpha 1.0.6 so they're supposed to be there. The sand I think is just because that's the way that generator was.
I'll have a look at the animal spawning though. Have you tried other seeds?
Quite the opposite, good sir. The creator of this great mod purposely coded it so it would be compatible with nearly every other mod. I use this, and i have so many mods i would not like to post them all.
Loving this. Dont want to offend the nostalgia factor people but you are working harder and staying active.
Anyway, looks like those last bugs I talked about are just oversights. I spawned 2 more worlds and there was all animals, its just that world which did not have any beside sheep (still could not find anything after searching a lot of area). My memory of alpha is probably messing up.
Anyway, sorry if im wrong again about this but in some of my new spawned alpha worlds, the water is kind of funky. Look at waterfalls in mountains, and you can see some of the water does not flow, looks like a water ceiling.
I just walked into an NPC village home and saw grass inside of it... I spawned this world with Snowy Alpha. Looks like the testificates are tree huggers.
Also, take a look around the 2 NPC villages I found, they are glitchy with positioning and grass.

Again, love this. I got a suggestion for the future, maybe you should add an option for Beta 1.5 terrain, its the same as 1.7.3 but without tall grass.
