I've been looking for a mod like this ever since they updated to 1.8.1
I've been using MCpatcher but then you don't get any of the new features

On the contrary, one of my main goals from the start was to make it as compatible as possible. It edits only two base classes which are both purely related to world generation. One is the list of world types and the other was empty.
Not to sound like an asshole but, can you give me credit for making the banner?

If you meant credit in the signature I tried that but it didn't really work very well, but I'd be happy to update it if you added like a "banner by Regicidal" note to the picture itself.
I'll take a look at the sugar cane thing, but it'll have to wait until after I've added indev. I can't compile right now without commenting out a lot of code. :tongue.gif:
I love it, although there is 2 issues. One, the only animal I have seen spawn in non-snow alpha is sheep, no cows pigs or chickens. All the animals spawn fine in snowy alpha.
Also, the beaches in alpha are a bit messed up; the grass and sand blend together and sometimes there is cactuses.
Btw the bread, apples, obsidian and iron were from a npc village in the blacksmith house. The village fits with alpha very well for some reason.

Thanks, but I've already ported the generator so I don't need it. What I'm working on now is to implement theme and type specific features, like forever day/night and removing the black void for floating maps.

Cactus was introduced in alpha 1.0.6 so they're supposed to be there. The sand I think is just because that's the way that generator was.
I'll have a look at the animal spawning though. Have you tried other seeds?
And that texture pack will sure come in handy Regicidal.
The indev generator is ported and working, but a bit slow. I'll have to iron out those performance issues (which are related to lighting) and then it's time for release.
Quite the opposite, good sir. The creator of this great mod purposely coded it so it would be compatible with nearly every other mod. I use this, and i have so many mods i would not like to post them all.
Loving this. Dont want to offend the nostalgia factor people but you are working harder and staying active.
Anyway, looks like those last bugs I talked about are just oversights. I spawned 2 more worlds and there was all animals, its just that world which did not have any beside sheep (still could not find anything after searching a lot of area). My memory of alpha is probably messing up.
Anyway, sorry if im wrong again about this but in some of my new spawned alpha worlds, the water is kind of funky. Look at waterfalls in mountains, and you can see some of the water does not flow, looks like a water ceiling.
I just walked into an NPC village home and saw grass inside of it... I spawned this world with Snowy Alpha. Looks like the testificates are tree huggers.
Also, take a look around the 2 NPC villages I found, they are glitchy with positioning and grass.
The seed and coords are in the pictures.
Again, love this. I got a suggestion for the future, maybe you should add an option for Beta 1.5 terrain, its the same as 1.7.3 but without tall grass.

You are active, working hard, getting things done, and being awesome. You sir, are the best modder.
I'll be making better banners now and then, and also I'll give you my custom alpha terrain.png so you can apply it to the alpha generated worlds:

I kinda like the testificates building their houses on hills, they look oool. If you don't want the villages, simply turn the structures off.
