Both minecraftforum.net, grim3212.com, and grim3212.github.io are allowed to host my material. 2. extract modloader.zip and copy all files into the minecraft.jar
3. start minecraft to let modloader create it's configs
4. for multiplayer (I also use it in single player!!!) you also need the extension modloadermp (everyone on the server) - start up minecraft again
5. Dynamiclightning - extract, zip the contents of the folder "compiled_put_this_into_minecraft_jar" to a new dynamiclightning.zip (NOT THE FOLDER ITSELF, JUST IT'S CONTENT!!!) Otherwise it won't work!
6. copy the config from dynamiclightning into %appdata%\.minecraft (windows usage)
(I mean the config in this folder) configfile_put_this_into_.minecraft_folder
7. Start minecraft again, start singleplayer and take a torch, search a dungeon / hole in the ground to check if dynamic lightning works (if not you have done something wrong)
8. copy the "Miner Helmets V2 - 1.1.0.zip" into %appdata%\.minecraft\mods
9. Open the "Miner Helmets V2 - 1.1.0.zip" and copy the contained config file over the one in your .minecraft folder (overwrite the old one)
10. start minecraft, build a miners helmet and go diggin
11. Have fun ^^

Use for this only the jar version of the server!
1. Open the minecraft_server.jar
2. extract the modloader mp server for 1.1 version 2.1 and copy all contents into the minercraft_server.jar
3. start the server to let modloadermp generate it's folders and configs
4. copy the minerhelmet server version into the modfolder
5. start the server, connect, build a miner helmet and have fun
WARNING!!! in the server don't delete META-INF (I made this mistake twice ^^ the server will sometimes not run without meta-inf)

Erase this ^^ Optifine and Dynamiclights got a problem
(if you install Optifine first, then dynamiclights, DL overwrites OF's file, Minecraft won't start (or start with blackscreen)

I recommend to use the newest Java 7 JRE (even when it's not final),
on x64 operation systems ever use java 64 bit,
also useful to use the latest lwjgl from lwjgl.org (at this moment lwjgl 2.8.3)
the newest lwjgl increases the stability of minecraft

It's a handy helmet! OMG!
Ok, well it is packaged so, you can just drag and drop it into the mods folder i checked and second to make it work you have to unzip it (so, technically you do have to unzip lol)and look in the config folder it will tell you what to do... I'll do better packing next release.

about point 2, my DL and OF work fine
but MH can't light anything when i equipped it.

Have you copied the DynamicLight.settings file from the MinersHelmetMod into your .minecraft folder, overwriting the old one?

MH works normally when i hold it by hand but when i equipped it to the helmet slot
it doesn't light anymore... I've install many mods(ML, MLmp, forge, spc, playerAPI&spc hotfix, TMI, OF, DL, MH...etc) maybe MH have a compatibility problem with one of them. I'll try to find it out.
Try to figure out if the bug's still there, if you work with an clean version
(backup your entire minecraft folder before)
(Modloader, ModloaderMP, Optifine, DynamicLightning and MinerHelmet only)
I think it's an uncompatiblity of one of your installed mods...

I think it's "millenaire"
when I play within an exist save file of millenaire, the Miner helmet doesn't work correctly.
but after I create a new world with it, MH works fine.

Have you installed Modloader and ModloaderMP ?(It is needed by Miner's Helmet by default)
Have you tried to use a torch as a lightsource?
(Have you thrown one away (in darkness)) did it lit the ground on that place?
