How do you get the old ni.class back? i don't really want the text anymore, this is all too confusing D:
On the login screen, click the 'options' button, then click 'force update'. This will restore your minecraft installation to it's original 'vanilla' state.
Hmm, everytime I try this with 1.2.3 I get this error:

Does your minecraft.jar still contain a META-INF folder?
I am running the following and need to know what version of optifine to get and what version of the mq.class to get:
Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium* , Service Pack 1 (6.1.7601)
DirectX* Version: 11.0
Physical Memory: 2550 MB
Minimum Graphics Memory: 8 MB
Maximum Graphics Memory: 358 MB
Graphics Memory in Use: 98 MB
Processor: x86 family 6 Model 22 Stepping 1
Accelerator in Use: Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family
Video BIOS: 1566.0
Current Graphics Mode: 1280 by 768 True Color (60 Hz)
I hope this is enough info. Please let me know what versions I should use on this computer....
Also; Wolflink289 has created an alpha-compatible version of this fix, by substituting color4f for color3f. I have not yet tested it myself, but it merits mention.
On the login screen, click the 'options' button, then click 'force update'. This will restore your minecraft installation to it's original 'vanilla' state.
Be paitent. I'll get to it eventually.
And for every 'update it' post after this one, I will delay posting the update a full day.

Will update vanilla with improved microoptimization at next opportunity.

1.2.x uses ni.class now.
I'd suggest the current ni.classfor Optifine HD B (docs.google.com)
and Optifine HD 1.2.3 HD B (optifine.net via adf.ly)

I have not found the time to test the code provided by ThVortex and Wolflink289.
I welcome them, like everyone, to incorporate the code changes I have documented into their own packages.
Everyone is welcome to mirror and link to the existing packages.
And I am flattered to have the odd share request from people who are unfamiliar with Goovle Docs.
However to the three people (or two with five email addresses between them) who keep demanding total control of all files;
I will continue to use MCP to maintain this fix, and encourage those who want to help with this to look at other areas to improve.
Everyone else;
Here is how to set up MagicLauncher to get around the "Bad drivers problem" (long post)
I'm sure it will get updated, just have to wait. 1.2.4 is only a day old.
I'm uploading this 6 housrs earlier thatn I promised to because I won't have time to upload it later.
Expect me to wait out the full 24 hours from update/status requests in the future.
Did test changing color3f to color4f, like 1.0 and 1.1 (but allegedly not 1.2.3) this resulted in a sea of grey text on my machine
