can u play with the AI of the soldiers and make them interact with dispersers? also interact with themselves. mainly for the clay soldiers project you tube.
get mycraft mod installer no probloms but if that doesnt work your computer cant handle modloader and your screwd except you should be able to get toomanyitems
so I've installed mycraft and watched a video of how to install mods, but the clay soldiers still wont work and I've put in modloader and the clay soldier package as well, help?
I've seen pegasai just barely bob on the water. Maybe you should code them so once there in water, they can't "fly" until they leave.
Anyways, agree on no boats, for a very simple reason. You can have the soldiers get in boats, but now they probably wont get out of them. They would be stuck, and their pathfinding in water and land would be hard to program, compared to just land.
I think you should make them avoid lava by making them avoid specific light levels? (Lava being 15, torches 14?)
Do what you have to.
Clay soldiers arenas are fairly well lit, so that wouldn't work.
I've followed all the instructions, watched videos on YouTube, and tried installing just Modloader without any other mods, and it still comes up with the typical error message.
I've been trying to run this with TMI, but it wont work with it or without it. Minecraft runs just fine without any mods and also with TMI.
Plz help!!!
1. Make it so that non-corrupted clay soldiers attack corrupted soldiers that are their color also. Like Yellow attacks corrupted yellow.
2. Maybe have like team colored silver fish? Since they are kinda small enough.
3. A GUI to tell how many soldiers are spawned
4. Already posted but SMP
I have something to say. I have looked at this mod and been dumbfounded by the amazing work you have created. First of all, I wish to be forgiven by the minecraft gods(block, recipe and entity) for not having seen the original mod. Next, I wish to address an issue I believe might be in the way of the mod's development.
It is obvious that the original intention for this mod was to be able to recreate mass battles with a variety of soldiers. Then leaders where added, and the soldiers where given building abilities. I believe these where mistakes if you wish to continue on the path you have chosen. By making the clay soldiers almost resemble self-made villagers which can be upgraded and who build houses if given materials. They even war with opposing civilizations. By doing this you have made it so people(including myself) would want to create a small clay soldier village and nurture it into a grand kingdom which has conquered the realm. This expresses itself in wanting to expand on the clay soldiers building abilities and giving them a "tech tree".
There are several possible ways of dealing with this situation. You may choose to ignore it, deciding that this would be to great a deviation from the original mod. You could also adapt the mod to make it all about raising your own clay civilization and leading it to victory over other cultures. This would probably make fans of the "instant epic combat" stop using the mod however, as it would have been ruined for them. My favorite path would be to split this mod into two mods: "Clay Civilizations" and "Clay Battles". Please don't judge me by my naming skills. If supporting a different version of the mod is too much work, maybe you could try to get another modder to make the alternative version based on the current mod. Of course, you might just want to keep things simple and not change anything, but that would disappoint me, and I believe many other fans(I make no assumptions).
It could be, of course, that I am charging at windmills, and nobody really wants a "Clay Civilization" thing. I'm new to the forums, so please don't hesitate to tell me if I am mistaken. The possibility of extending the city-building and resource gathering and the like seems to have been mentioned multiple times though, so it might be worth checking. If you are unsure what route would best benefit the community, it might be an idea to create a poll.
I completely understand if you wish to keep creating content and fixing bugs on a single version instead of dividing your attentions and being unable to update as regularly. I am simply attempting to put it clearly in the way that I have understood it.
You'd have to get permission from KodaiciZero since he is the maker of the mod and these guys are just continueing it.

Nothing against you or your ideas, however the point of this mod is NOT to create villages or civilizations. You can, in fact, do this if you wish. However there are things such as Millenaire I think it's called, and Tale of Kingdoms for crafting a civilization. Both are great and wonderful! However those are Millenaire and Tale of Kingdoms. This is Clay Soldiers. You wouldn't see something like Mo'Creatures adding massive spires of bricks in which you can do battle with the very gods themselves, or a nature expansion giving you a shotgun. We are here to let our clay men slaughter each other endlessly, and to give them all the tools we can for them to do so!
Give them cacti and they become prickly? damaging anything that touches him?
THE FOLLOWING SUGGESTION IS NOT EXPECTED TO BE IN THE MOD AND SHOULD DEMONSTRATE HUMOR: DJs! give them a music disc and they emit note signs and play music!
I was thinking of classes. 1.) the scout: the scout item would have to be crafted then once given to a soldier, like any other upgrade, the clay scout would then wander in search of an enemy army and would come back to the rest of its team and lead them to the army (maybe I'm just not good at aiming but I only get a few with the fishing rod).
search pattern: for searching you could make a defined search length say 15 blocks while this may not help that much you could increase the scout's sight range by 25 blocks. also once th scout returned to his starting position, if the army wasn't there, he would randomly wander around like a normal soldier until he found them at which point he would lead them to the X/Y/Z location he saw the enemy army if they have moved they stop searching and act normal again. (if the soldier that found the group is "killed" the data is lost.)
2.) the knight: the knight item would be crafted (primarily of iron) and given to a regular soldier who would then appear to be wearing iron armor and holding an iron sword he does 2X the damage of a soldier with a sharp stick and has 3X more health than a clay soldier with regular armor knights can still ride horses.
3.) the medic: the medic item would be crafted (mostly of clat blocks) and given to a regular soldier who would then appear to be wearing a backpack. this soldier would go around ignoring the battle and healing people of his own team unless directly attacked. the medic has 20 revives and can refill his cashe with clay lying around the battlefield.
4.) the archer: the archer item would be crafted (with 1 bow, 2 arrows, and 6 gravel) when given to a soldier it will apear to have a bow in hand and will attempt to climb to the highest possible vantage point to shoot its enemies. the archer has unlimited ammo (or very high ammo like 200 or so) and can shoot both gravel and arrows.
mounts: clay soldiers has been in need of a new mount - one that can rain down hell and cause massive destruction to its clay enemys (but not the environment around them) I present, the mini-dragon:
Here is a crafting recipe idea:
if D = dragon egg, N = netherack and G = glowstone
G
N D N
N N
This would create a miniture fire dragon (probably something that goes in the center of the map) the fire dragon would breathe a stream of fire that sets mobs (but not blocks!) on fire. also an ice dragon could be mad instead of a fire dragon by replacing the netherack with snow blocks and the gunpowder with a snowball. the ice dragon would freeze clay soldiers in place so they could neither move nor strike.
either dragon would have 2X or more health than the snow pegisi.

I agree with you clay soldiers is about small enclosed battles in arenas, however I think that the route should be open to civilizations (as is) with the added possibility of wars. (I posted on the page and PMed sanandreas the ideas for how this would be possible see the scout class)
1. Seeing as alot of people want some "Monsters" added to this mod, why not just make them natural enemys with the SilverFish mob? They are about the same size, and it would be kinda cool to see swarms of them attacking a few SilverFish :biggrin.gif:
2. Im not sure who said this earlier but it seems like a good idea: If you give a clay soldier a certain type of dye, then they can convert other dead (or possibly living) clay soldeirs to there ranks? kinda simaler to the Ender Disease thats already there. An example: A red clayman with red dye turns a dead blue soldier to red or a red dye wielding Red Clayman turns a living White Clayman into another Red Clayman.
3.I definitly like that "DJ" idea, where you give a soldier a Record and maybe notes pop out of his head? or when he hits (or gets hit) by a Clayman he makes music play to alert others around him? or it could just be a cosmetic item that has music emanating from him with those note animations coming from his head :biggrin.gif:
Consider my ideas for a moment, and if by some chance they wont work because of ALOT of editing will be requierd then just ignore them :tongue.gif:
Just hoping to be your next building maker cause i just built a warzone with my friend (Campinx) and I (Fackinski) have made a RPG Taking turn map. The Builings look awesome. Campinx made the red ones and I (Fack) have made the blue ones:
so I've installed mycraft and watched a video of how to install mods, but the clay soldiers still wont work and I've put in modloader and the clay soldier package as well, help?
Clay soldiers arenas are fairly well lit, so that wouldn't work.
1. Being able to designate 'kingdoms' for a specific color to rule over and defend.
2. Make something like 'peace treaties' so that specific colors can team up with each other.
3. Make it so that when a clay man has his color dye that when able he can convert dead enemies into his team
4. 'ranks' of armor...iron, gold etc.
5. 'ranks' of weapons...iron, gold etc.
6. The ability to make a better variety of houses along with use deciding what house they build.
7. The ability to transport them in mine carts.
8. More armor types....boots, legs, helms etc.
9. The ability to be strategical....no more running around like morons.
10. Links with above....the ability to build defenses.
Any of these would be a great addition to the mod.
I've followed all the instructions, watched videos on YouTube, and tried installing just Modloader without any other mods, and it still comes up with the typical error message.

I'll give my clay guy a pegasus, goggles, and glowstone dust.(he might look like a firefly at nights... :dry.gif: )

First, each soldier can only have 1 class.

Describe in detail exactly what you did to download
yeah, cool. also been suggested a couple thousand times.
