I receive a crash for "ticking entity" whenever a clay soldier is damaged by soul sand. Please, fix this in the next update. (I found this bug when I made a nether-themed arena). Above you can see the crash report. This also seems to happen when a clay soldier recieves damage from multiple other clay soldiers at the same time.
Look at the first post again, I've now added a line about crashes from the alpha version.
So yes, it's most likely we fixed the crash in the upcoming version already.
If a soldier has an emerald and picks up a certain item (doesn't matter which item to me), the lightning will bounce between up to 5 enemy soldiers, but each soldier must be within a certain range of the previous one to get hit, and each successive bounce's damage is lower than the last.

The emerald attacks already have enough extra effects possible; two innate passives as well as a further upgrade.

I spawn 16 clay soldiers. I drop 20 logs, said logs are ignored and said soldiers just roam.
I drop Gold ingot, sugar, redstone, gravel, and those said items are ignored and said soldiers roam.
Otherwise this one the best mods i have gotten. I have a few that i like better, because they are in 1.7, no offence.
If you'd care to read the first page/ a few pages back, you'd understand that a lot of the features are currently broken, and are being reworked and fixed. No Pity on this soul.
Most upgrades are currently broken in the 1.6 version since the mod had to be rewritten. The 1.7 version is also coming, and it WILL be getting back all of the upgrades (in fact, it's somewhat better then the 1.6 version already, a lot more upgrades work).

1.) Create an UNOFFICIAL release date for the update.. this will solve the problem of you being bugged by every, person waiting for the mod.. also (note) the reason people are bugging you so bad is because the other versions are extremely un playable. It crashes every battle. Which im sure your aware of.
2.) Maybe helmets?
3.) Bow and arrows!!!

I'll talk to San and Silver about an sort of super buggy beta test for the 1.7 version, you're probably right that if we released a beta for it people will stop bugging us so much.
Helmets would be nice, I'll talk with the other developers.
Bow/arrows won't be added most likely, but using gravel will probably do the trick for archers. I'll talk with San about the high ground search code, that would need some really fancy AI and I'm not sure how well it would fit into the mod. I don't think clay soldiers are supposed to be super intelligent, so I'm not sure if they would realize high ground is a good idea when sniping.

There's a lot of stuff being rewritten in 1.8 from what I've gathered, so my guess is 1.8 will be a pain to update to as well. We'll still do it, of course, it might just take a while.
