No not really, villagers won't fight back and will all end up as zombies.
I check this thread once every two weeks and I figured I'd leave a message this time. The hope that this mod becomes multiplayer is literally the only reason I still have a copy of minecraft on my computer. Yeah that is what i did except with blaze rods and ghast tears. They made an army so big it nearly lagged my game to death. Oh yeah and they were up against more than 1110 soldiers.
Both of their hands are occupied while featherfalling. They can't do anything else.

Yellow? Girl? No, the only hidden girl soldiers on on pink, orange, and green. The rare one for yellow is Ziclag, who is a slime in a suit. Herobrine is on light blue.

I have some ideas for new buildings! I was thinking about bunkers fortresses so I made thease three proto-types I have a Tower,Sandstone fortress and bunker.

So all 555 died to gravel? Seeing how even a diamond soldier with gravel needs to throw at least two pieces to kill one enemy, and has triple the number of throws, you would have to be using more than 16 soldiers. Also, they're throwing gravel while in the air? We need to fix that.
on the gravel throwing when falling think they should be able to "drop" it on targets that are bellow them when they are falling.
idea for watches
Warriors of time: give a clay man a watch at day or night for a special effect
warriors of fear: give a soldier a watch at night and it turns into a werewolf(adds a tail to it and places a small box on the front of its face) werewolves scare everything around them. enemies will run from them and allies will not help them. gains a 2x speed boost (stacks with sugar) and a slight damage boost.
warriors of hope: give a solder a watch in the day and they will radiate light(glow stone effect but in any light level) warriors of hope give hope to the solders (passive boost all solders in a 2 block range of it will slowly heal over time, they will also have a slight health boost)
NOTE: warriors of time can not hold weapons if they have sticks gravel shields, or any item that appears on them they will drop it upon picking up the watch. boosters like sugar, reeds, and magma cream will stay on them.
HAVE an idea for a hidden thing on this one but all this is is a refined version of one of the PM ideas, if its ok I will post the hidden idea in the PM if this idea is some what good.)

no. the creator has already objected to this, as it would not only be EXTREMELY hard to do, it would also cause huge amounts of conflicts with other mods. Had you read the OP, you would have already known this, but apparently, some people can't be bothered to use common sense. Sorry, but he's not doing this, and no amount of capital letters or emoticons is going to change that.
Cactus: If this is to be used like iron, the soldier wouldn't be able to ride anything. So basically it's a turtle that provides no defense?
Glass Bottles: I'm going to decline both halves of this. We've already got a planned use for empty glass bottles, and we've already said no to any kind of headwear.
Obsidian: So... it's a stronger and slower version of using gravel in combination with slime balls?
My best guess is yes, eventually.
- Yeah, the cactus would work something like that, and naturally would be unable to ride creatures while spiked, that would hurt the poor animated sediment animal. as for the glass bottle thing, I expected as much, that one was kind of random anyway...
for the obsidian needle thing, it would be KIND of like that, except say, the clay gets hit, but does not get thrown into a wall by the projectile, they would be able to simply get up and keep fighting. The rate of fire compared to gravel would be much slower (like, say, maybe one every 1.5 seconds rather than however many per second we get with gravel) Also, as for the no headwear thing... that does seem kind of silly, wearing a one pound glass bottle would probably crush the poor guys.
Also, as for the specialized stuff. Cool, I sort of expected that. What kind of stuff are we talking?

For the craftable items specifically for the soldiers, I've got textures done up for about 294 different weapons drawn up, along with a wing pack, spiked boots, and plans for a fireworks launcher.
Oh wait, don't have any of those yet... Oh well, we'll see when we get there! ^.^
