I used Direct Download for Server (I dont like Adcraft, even if it supports you.) and it failed.
I now realized you screwed up, Direct Server downloads the Client Version.
Also, the blaze bolts still seem to give off fire while being underwater, though this is not really much of an issue, it might be cooler if they would stop giving off fire particles then.
One more request, could you just include a .zip file with the mod files inside your download? That way we can put it directly in the mod folder without editing the .jar :smile.gif:
@Archer For the next update crossbows will fire right away then have a 2 second cooldown time, the image will change to show you the crossbow can be fired again. I tried to change it so the fire didn't show underwater but it didn't work. I'm not sure how to do that with puting it in the mod folder but I'll see if i can figure it out

Well the hard part is done. Now I just have to add crossbows people came up with (and maybe start a 'thanks for the idea' section in the OP) and maybe a few bolts. So, within the next couple of days.

SMP bug to report. Holding down the fire button with any crossbow will constantly make the fire noise and use up bolts, but it'll only actually fire a bolt on the normal timer.

Thanks I knew about that one but I forgot to add it. I think it's just because of the way SMP does ticks.
EDIT:Because of all the bugs SMP has with it, I'm not too interested in continuing Multiplayer Support, but I'll only do that if enough people vote on it.

Wow, fast reply. Thanks! But will it be possible to fix in the future. Makes firing the large crossbow difficult since the timer is so long. I'll always end up losing bolts :sad.gif:

I'm not sure how to fix it.It seems like SSP and SMP update ticks differently. I would prefer to get rid of Multiplayer or allow someone who knows SMP modding to work on it.

Aw, that's a shame. There are so few good, simple mods like this for SMP. I know the timer thing as been the bane of SMP modders in the past, but there are some who've found ways of making it work. I dunno how close your mod is to vanilla Minecraft's bow, but I'm sure you've at least checked out how it works. Check out AtomicStryker's Ropes+ mod, it may also help.

I did some testing and while it shows that you can constantly fire arrows in SMP, once the crossbow becomes loaded, the very next time you fire the bolt count is returned to what it should be, so if you have 50 and you fire one, as you continue to fire, once the crossbow is "reloaded" when you fire again it will reset to 48 where it should be.

Oh. That's not so bad I guess. Now it's just mildly annoying instead of frustrating. I guess I think I may reinstall this. But I really hope you continue developing it for SMP. There has to be a workaround somewhere for the minor problems.

It may just be a deal with it situation because I have the crossbow class set up exactly the same as I have it for SSP so I think a class elsewhere is messing with it. I'm not planning on editing any base classes if it works but just looks bad.

If they are invisible then I would say either remove it and put the mod back in again, or you might have the textures in the wrong place.

I found the obsidian bug, I forgot to add it to a list so I will be fixing that in the next update.
First of all, is META-INF gone? Also, did you get the client version? Last, did you put it in the mod folder or directly in the jar file?
EDIT: I really wish I never went to Multiplayer, that seemed to make it so much more difficult to use :sad.gif:
