how about making a new item like a special bookcase that adds the new enchantments. a different bookcase for weapons and armor. and one that adds the selector ability from better enchantments. i know it would be alot of work but it would be cool and might make it possible to do w/o jar modding.
i've been trying to keep my jar based mods to a minimum to make updates easier.

lol? No. My intentions for this mod is to get them noticed for using base code. Nothing in my code uses modloader, I only keep it to keep compatability with it, as I have to edit a class it does, If I wanted to, I could remove modloader completely, and it would work the same. I remember reading somewhere that notch/jeb is more likely to add something to the game if it is based off MC code. That is why I made the mod, to see enchantments get into the game that should be there.
Concerning the "special bookcases that adds new enchantments": I do not touce the ContainerEnchantment, GuiEnchantment, SlotEnchantmentTable, or SlotEnchantment at all. I have to edit things in other classes to make things happen.

Thats why you use a installer. DL the yogbox and use their installer, it is very easy to use and change for your on personal needs.
Could you maybe add some enchantments for the fishing rod and flint & steel? Like get more fish, or damage on reel, or light fire ON a mob, or something.
5 new enchantments: seeder, poison resistance, jump height, health regeneration, and burning touch. See OP for details.
Blast resistance will now prevent you from getting afflicted with Slow from explosions.
Sorry about the small update, but I have not had much time to work on it.
Important: I will not have much time to work on adding content or enchantments to the mod, as I am currently very busy. I will keep compatability with minecraft and if forge updates, that to. This will be going on for a few weeks.
If you have a mod that overrides oe.class, just install it over this one and disable burning touce in the config file.
Kyou, somehow with Your mod + Better enchant (your update) I cannot enchant a gold sword with Sharpness V when i slide it to V the Enchant button shuts off.

Any thoughts?
probably the enchantment cost is to much? I have not touched current sword enchantments, besides Looting.

I'm at lvl 119, it costs 46 for just sharpness V. I wonder if it could have been that Enchant View mod was installed previously, and I didn't bother to delete the ro.class file before installing Better Enchantl. I figured since BE has an ro.class file, it would replace the ro.class from Enchant View. And visiting minecraft.jar I only found the BE's ro.class file.

Could it be LB photo realism maybe also? Idk.
Either Gold, or Diamond, both will let me enchant up to IV but not V.
I dont know why gold wouldn't enchant, but diamond has up to 45 levels.
