OK, unfortunately, I'm having major problems downloading this mod. I got modloader, and dragged the zip thing in the mods folder. However, when I download the mod, I get a folder, not a zip. Because of this, I need to make it one. Because it's impossible to make a zip without a folder being in something, I need to drag the dust folder into the mod folder, and then create a zip. If I don't make it a zip, it crashes minecraft. With the zip in there, I successfully run minecraft.... Without the mod. I tried to craft the dust, and unless the mod only works on new worlds, it isn't working for me, which is a shame because I really want this mod. Anyone have help? Hate to beg, but I'm desperate...
Are you running safari? If so try google chrome. Safari automatically unzips files.

I've finished with finals (kinda sorta maybe) and have found time to work on this again. Right now my main priority is fixing bugs and re-balancing the runes and their order. Struggling very hard not to add any more runes that I come up with.

I used the Sarlacc rune as a mob grinder for xp. It works quite well, the experience drops into the pits, gets carried by the water currents and gets dropped off at a central collection point. Woohoo!

I'm having trouble with the runic lexicon, the book looks blank and shows no recipes, I read the commonly asked questions section and reinstalled it, that did not work, I tried my graphical settings, and that also did not work.Do you have any suggestions on what I should do?
I seem to be having a problem with the void storage rune, when I activate it my game crashes, ill post in the error report.

@Crashes. Give the crash report or you receive no help. All you have to do is copy paste it into a spoiler tag, not a whole lot of effort.
I think that my only suggestion now is to add a config file and allow us to change block ids. The lexicon so far has consistently proven incompatible with many mods that I've tried.
i run about 12 other mods with this one and ive never had a conflict problem with block IDs
The Runic Lexicon doesn't show anything for me. I read the common problems section on this post and tried reinstalling it, but it still won't show anything. I have Windows 7 and I use Google Chrome, I downloaded the mod from here both times I downloaded it. Other mods I have installed are Smart Moving, TooManyItems, Nerdboy's Mine & Blade: Battlegear, ExtraBiomes XL, Rei's Minimap, Optifine, and Equivalent Exchange 2. I had this mod in 1.1 and the runic lexicon still didn't work, but I only had these mods: TooManyItems, Optifine, Rei's Minimap, and Smart Moving. I really like this mod and want it, but there is no way I can play it without the lexicon, so please try to figure out this problem. Thank you.

Scroll down all the way to the Final Sacrifice List, this is the bulk of what I've been working on.
This will be the new list of sacrifices for all the runes, hopefully now it is more balanced in terms of cost-and-reward and also in terms of when you will actually need the rune.
They are ordered in terms of how much they should cost, and the number in the colored box represents where in the game you would need it (they correspond to the sections specified in the "Gameplay Order" sheet tab)
Going back through so many of them I realized that there were several runes which for example you would only ever need at the beginning of the game and then never again, but in order to actually use it and activate it you would need materials only acquirable late in the game. So that sorta stuff had to be mixed around and reorganized.
If this update goes well, I may take it out of WIP status soon
However, it will still take an a**-long time to remake ever single rune photo and lexicon entry because those have to be done manually >___<

I installed the decorative version in 2 different ways, one normally and one with the magic launcher, and when I placed the dust it was invisible! Please help!
I believe they are... obelisks (I think that's what there called) from Thaumcraft. It's a great mod, feel free to try it out.
