It would be amazing if you could make it so it acts kinda like redstone, except it goes farther without losing signal. Maybe even add a glowstone torch, so that I never have to use coal again.
That's easy. Actually I took an hour trying to make it so it DOESN'T use redstone power. Some people would like it as it is though.
It has the same power as a redstone torch (ie 15). I'm not sure what you'd want a glowstone torch for though, there are already normal torches ingame.
True. But then people would want gunpowder wire. So you can activate TNT from a distance. Without redstone. Though I think gunpowder is more rare than redstone...
Hmm... Gunpowder wire... Good idea...
glowstones torchs exist on Galacticraft - they work on space while regular torches dont
I downloaded this mod mostly because I was exploring a Nether fortress and had quite a bit of glowstone dust, but no redstone. Normally I'd use redstone to mark paths I've already taken, but I really didn't want to go back to the Overworld and possibly mine some more just so I can explore the fortress I'd probably forget the location of... Basically, I downloaded this mod as an "emergency" path-marking system.
I'm having an issue with the glowstone wire. It won't connect for me, when I place two dots of dust next to each other. In fact, it actively not-connects. I am using Forge for version 1.7.10 of Minecraft. The only other mods I am running are the "Fossils and Archeology Revival" mod and "MrCrayfish's Furniture Mod". I can't imagine why either of those would mess it up, or if I just installed it wrong or something, but there's pretty much all the information I've got.
This doesn't seem to affect the functionality, but it looks funky and slightly bugs me. I'd fix it myself, but I don't code mods yet and I really don't want to deal with trying to decompile everything and work out how to make it work.
Just posting to inform you that my friend and I will be using this in our modpack, Nincraft Electric Boogaloo 2: Revenge of the Fallen. You can find the source code to our pack here. The pack will be hosted on the FTB and Curse Launchers, and the project page can be found here.
(insert cringy dubstep minecraft intro here)
If you would like to find it or see it, go to:
http://www.technicpack.net/modpack/details/tech-and-co-beta.459307
You can never have too many mods. Add them until it crashes. Then, after fixing the issue, add some more
Unless you're making a modpack...
I know people have asked you about this already, but do you think you could maybe make gunpowder wire and put it in a separate mod?
Thanks!
