when ever I use it, it looks like this... I have a Macbook Pro OS X v. 10.9.3 2.5 GHz Intel core i5 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

The post right above yours states that this shader is incompatible with Mac unless someone tinkers with it (like the guy you commented on.) There is no official support, but if you message Grog, you could find the version that he's using.
It seems like v10.1 isn't compatible with 1.7.10. It makes the game really choppy. Can someone else confirm
Can you please provide your PC specs (Graphics card and driver version), plus a screenshot or two of what you mean by choppy, because no one else has report this issue.
I asked your Graphics card, but if A CPU is all you have, so I'm afraid that you can't run shaders. You must have a dedicated GPU from either Nvidia or AMD to run this, preferably their newer line-ups. Some cheap options are the GTX 650 from Nvidia or a 7000 series from AMD could run the game at minimal settings with shaders. I had the 650, so I know it works, but the 7000 series cards are about the same.

Ok, I am using this along with dynamic lights mod. Whenever I'm underground in a dark area, everything works fine and then I can't see anything but my hotbar. I have to switch to and place a torch just to be able to see anything.

Yes this is a known..... possible issue..... but maybe intentional feature to make it realistic as you wouldn't be able to see if you were in a cave. The simply fix is the same as standard Minecraft, put down torches every 10 blocks or so.

Are you still working on this project? At this point it seems kind of abandoned, and there's still a lot that I'd love to see done here.
Allow me to nitpick a few things:
-When graphics are set to fast, leaves look really weird, and if they're on the ground, you can see through the world a little bit.
-The sides of the leaf blocks seem to be a bit out of sync with the top and bottom of the leaf blocks, which leads to the leaves looking very strange up close.
-Can't see raindrops, only the particle effect created by them hitting the ground.
-Can't see snowflakes at all.
-Some issues with Optifine (at least, ones that I found) include: Better snow causes snow under grass to wobble along with it.
-With clouds on, clouds look REALLY weird.
-Water reflections only reflect what's within the player's FOV.
Anyways, I really love this shader, and I hope you work on it some more. A couple suggestions of mine: Water ripples (if at all possible), water reflections (if at all possible).

Abandoned!?? It was updated just a month or two ago, the Lite version is what's taking time now but it's nearly complete, the Q&A a few weeks ago showed off all the new stuff coming in the next or future updates, things like Global Illumination which is a first ever, Particle Effect (Volumetric Lighting) which again is a first as most shader-packs just have generic God Rays.
It hasn't been abandoned, it just has a few minor bugs, a lot of which are just typos in the code and can be easily fixed, see my Bug Fixes and Improvements Guide in my signature below for details on how to fix some of the bugs and improve the clouds and stuff.
When I load up the shader, it is SUPER LAGGY! How do I fix this?
You need a powerful graphics card to run shaders. What's the graphics card installed in your computer? Go to Device Manager->Display adapters to find it.

For me personally I'm getting better FPS. Please provide specs.

What is your graphics card and OS. You can find your graphics card information on Windows in Device Manager>Display adapters

If I remember correctly the Standard version of 10.1 doesn't have SSAO enabled....... I think, don't quote me on it.

I know the Standard doesn't have SSAO. My problem with it is how many frames it eats, and that SSAO doesn't make much of a graphical difference.
You need to explain what you mean, saying "When I do it, it goes blurry" doesn't mean anything. When you do what???
