Where can I get the version that has the extra rain effects (puddles and reflections on the ground/"wet" blocks)? The link for 10.1 preview 2 is broken.
Thanks for this shader pack though, I love it
Hi Hakaan256, you know the wet ground/puddles are also in versions 10.1 Final, it's just disabled by default because of a tiny mistake in the coding.
How to enable wet ground - puddles:
Open: "gbuffers_terrain.fsh",
Line 333 looks like this:
On that line change the first * to a +
Save changes.
That's it you now have puddles And if you use a decent resource/texture pack with proper shader support for bump mapping like Chroma Hills, the wet ground will look 100 times better because it will be 3D and textured.
Or of course if you just prefer version 10.1 Preview 2 then you will have to wait for the links, as AdFoc.us that hosts them is having server issues.
Hi thel33tninja, it's because you have the 2D clouds lower than the Vol clouds. You either need to disable the 2D clouds or move them so they are above the Vol clouds.
Here is the guides to do both, personally I recommend moving them with the second guide it looks a lot better.
How to Disable 2D clouds:
Open "composite1.fsh",
Line 1234:
Change that line to read this:
//CloudPlane(surface);
How to move the clouds and optimise them:
Simply copy and paste the code in the guide to over the lines starting "1422" ending "1915" in the "composite.fsh" file. Also delete the // from the start of line "2256". http://pastebin.com/xNVA9nj0
Hi TheMinecraftBoss43, here you go, follow the instructions below.
CRASH ON STARTUP AND/OR BLACK SCREEN WITH SMALL BOXES IN THE BOTTOM CORNER FIX
LAPTOP USERS ONLY!
You need to open your Nvidia or AMD Control Panel and set the "Preferred Graphics Processor" to Nvidia or AMD, NOT: Auto or Intel. Do this "Globally", not just for Minecraft.
If you do "Not" have either an Nvidia or AMD Control Panel then please read the guide below for: PC USERS ONLY.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PC USERS ONLY!
The descriptions and instructions for this mod, that you were supposed to read "Before" installing them, very clearly say:
"You need a modern and very powerful Graphics Card to run a shader."
"Intel HD Graphics are "Not" compatible with SEUS."
Intel HD is not designed for gaming because it is "Not" a Graphics Card, it's an iGPU. This means it's a small part of your Processor/CPU that "ACTS" like a very low powered Graphics Card.
Intel HD is very weak, it's designed to give you enough graphical power to watch a movie, YouTube video or play a small basic game like Candy Crush, not for running extremely complex and demanding graphical mods.
Simply put, if Intel HD is your only Graphics adapter then your PC is not good enough for modern games, you need to upgrade or buy a new PC.
If you are "Not" using Intel HD and "Do" have a proper dedicated Nvidia or AMD graphics card but you still get the black screen or crashing, then in most cases it's caused by one of the following:
1# - Your PC's graphics card is not powerful enough or is too old. The mods description clearly says you need a "Modern and very powerful graphics card!" 2# - Your graphics card driver is out of date. Update it to the latest version from your manufactures website. 3# - The wrong or an out dated version of the GLSL Shader Core mod is installed. 4# - You have mod installed or a setting that is causing an incompatibility.
Feel free to post on the SEUS thread if you want more info about whether your graphics card (Nvidia or AMD/ATI) is compatible.
There are some very basic and low-end Shaders available on Minecraft.net forum that might work with old or low powered cards and Intel HD.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MAC USERS ONLY!:
If you had read the mods description you would have seen that it clearly says: "The author of SEUS Shader-pack has no access to a Mac, so is unable to provide Mac support at this time."

euphoria
Hi Princthess, welcome to the forum
All you need to do is open the in-game "Video Options" and set "Clouds" to "Off", that's it
SEUS has it's own clouds so you just need to disable the Vanilla Minecraft ones.
Hi. I hate to post another, "This doesn't work for me post"; but it doesn't -- and I don't think I did anything wrong.
I went to http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1544257-172174175shaders-mod-v2312-updated-by-karyonix/ and used the installer for Minecraft 1.7.5, then I downloaded SEUS pack from www.6minecraft.net/sonic-ethers-unbelievable-shaders-seus/ (didn't want to use adfoc.us) for MC 1.7.5.Additionally, I got the recommended resource pack from above.
When I log in, everything works fine until I try to select SEUS.
Then, MC crashes.
I did follow steps 6 & 7.
I am using 64 Bit Windows 8 on a Lenovo ideapad Z510, with 8g RAM, and an Intel(R) Core(TM) 17-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40GHz processor.
EDIT: Figured it out. Sorry to waste a post :/
...Porblem was, I am using an Intel HD graphics card
Every version is compatible with 1.6.4, SEUS is compatible with any version of Minecraft, you just need to have the correct version of the GLSL Shader Core mod for your version of Minecraft for it to work.
I have a major problem with all shaders i have tried so far, so i select my shaders via the shaders tab in settings and as soon as i select it and click play and click my world, the game loads and as soon as its done it just closes and brings up the launcher again. If i do it while im in game it immediately closes and brings up the launching client (where you select profile) again. no crash log no nothing. I have the latest drivers and i have tried this mod without any other mod installed and it still does the same. its not just SEUS shaders but with ALL shaders i have tried thus far. they all result in the same effect where as soon as they are selected it closes the game and reloads the launcher. I am using a Surface Pro 2 256gb version to play and i have found nothing that fixed my issue. if ANYONE can help me at all it will be heavily appreciated.
Where is the 1.7.6 version. When is it coming out???
SEUS is compatible with "Any" version of Minecraft, you just need to have the correct version of the GLSL Shader Core mod for your version of Minecraft for it to work. Please check the Shader Core mod page for the current versions.
Sorry for the emotes. In the mods folder I have a .jar called like this: ShadersModCore-v2.3.12-mc1.7.2-f1040 and in the shaderpacks folder I have a zipped folder called like this: SEUS-v10.1-Standard (The only 1 shaderpack the I have downloaded. Please tell me what I've done wrong.
It's ok I understand it can be frustrating. But you still haven't provided the information we need if we are going to help you! Quoted from my previous reply to you: "Right, as with any bug report we need your Graphics Card model and your driver version."

I don't mean to be rude, but if you had read the description like you were supposed to do "Before" installing it, you would not have this problem!
This is quoted from the mods description: "This mod requires relatively recent and fast graphic card.Sonic Ether Unbelievable Shaders (SEUS) -- Not compatible with Intel HD graphics!"

Don't think of this mod as a "Minecraft" mod, it's a Shader plain and simple, and shaders are "Extremely" demanding. They require a decent modern powerful computer to run them, some shaders like this one require more power to run them than most full complete games do, like Battlefield, Skyrim or Call of Duty!
There are members on here with brand new top of the range $500 graphics cards that struggle to run this shader pack.
Simply put, your PC is not powerful enough for modern games, you need to upgrade and/or buy a new PC to run demanding apps like this.

My graphic card is an NVIDIA Quadro 600 and the driver version is this: 9.18.13.1166
Right ok....... well first of all I can see your driver is over a "Year" out of date! You really need to keep up to date with drivers, there have been around 25 updated drivers since the one you have. I strongly recommend you update it immediately, here is the latest driver from the Nvidia website: http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/75953/en-us
But at the same time I still can't guarantee it will run SEUS as your card is not designed for gaming, it's a Quadro.
GeForce are Nvidia's gaming cards, Quadro are workstation or pro cards, they are designed for 3D work and Photoshop stuff like that. I'm not saying they physically "can't" run games because they can, but they do it "very" badly, and the drivers are not optimised for games in any way so I don't know if you will be able to run this.
Once you have updated your driver, I highly recommend you try running a lower / older version of SEUS first, try 8.0 Lite or 10.0 Lite, they don't look as good but you will get an idea of whether it will work or not and if it does, what FPS you are likely to get.
Yes unfortunately the creator has no access to a Mac so he can't offer support. BUT.... some people have managed to get this to work on a Mac, not very well but it still worked. I'm not sure how, but have a search through the thread and you should see a few posts about it.

I understand that but if you read my reply thoroughly i point out that "I have tried others shaders (some even saying they are compatible with intel) and all have this same problem. this exact same issue is happening with every single shader i have tried and i get that its demanding but i am able to run steam games such as skyrim and max payne 3 on my surface pro 2 free of any problems. my PC can play games with ease so there is no way despite how demanding shaders are that they can possibly be more demanding than running games on my PC which is why my PC should be able to handle it. the shaders when selected always crashes back to the client in every scenario no matter the shaders i try so your telling me that its because my PC isn't powerful enough despite being able to run every single game i have played on it?

ShadersMod is not compatible with the latest Intel driver.
Older Intel drivers that end with .32xx or .33xx work (with some shaderpack but not SEUS though). But the newer drivers .34xx crash when used with ShadersMod.

Arhh there you go, karyonix very kindly just gave you the reason why. And I do understand what you are saying, the basic or Lite shaders should run on Intel HD, but you really can not compare a game like Skyrim or Max Payne to SEUS, because SEUS is much much more demanding.
To give you an example, I can run Skyrim on default Ultra settings at 1080p with 300+fps, even with a few hundred mods installed including a ton of 4K texture packs and UGrids on 9, I can still stay way above 100fps.
But running SEUS Ultra at 1080p with the render distance only on 8 (Normal) I can not get 100fps, in fact it drops below 60fps when it's raining and sometimes below 50fps in the Nether.
ShadersMod is not compatible with the latest Intel driver. Older Intel drivers that end with .32xx or .33xx work (with some shaderpack but not SEUS though). But the newer drivers .34xx crash when used with ShadersMod.
Thank you karyonix, I wasn't aware of the latest Intel drivers causing an issue.
Hello, I am using Sonic Ether's Shaders version 10.1, but I have a MAJOR problem with the sky. Everything else is beautiful and perfect, but there are ugly white and black wavy lines throughout the sky.
