I've tried all of your shaders for both 1.6.4 and 1.7.2. All of which have the same issue. As you can see, it doesn't run full screen, just what looks like different sized thumbnail versions in the bottom left corner. It also gives those error messages every time. I'm running no mods at the moment, but the shaders core.Side note; I'm having issues finding ANY real shaders. I've got one that makes leaves move, and one that turns water just about invisible, but no others work at all. There are no errors, and the screen loads, but it looks like normal MC. Ether's is the only one that doesn't seem to render at all.

Most recent builds don't work and the older download links send me to a blank screen.
Hi 20firebird, yes the links to the old versions are currently down due to server issues with AdFoc.us, hopefully they will be back up soon. Please post you PC specs (Graphics card and driver version) and I will tell you what the problem is and why it's not working for you.
Seems i also have the water artifcat bug, i'm running the EVGA SC 750ti - i know this bug is GPU-dependant. Just seems odd, it's probably a OpenGL driver bug with communication between the new chip.
Hi LinearMelee, yes sadly as you said this is a very common and flipping annoying bug. Some of us are trying to work on a fix for it, but in the mean time some 750/750Ti owners have managed to avoid this bug by using 10.1 "Preview 1"....... But, the download links are currently down for it AdFoc.us is having server issues, but hopefully it will be back up soon.
Yeah how to adjust the torch, glowstone lighting colors.. not just the brightness, for me its too orange/yellow and its yuck looking at night this has always been a problem with sues.
Also for the water how to make it less transparent I can see the bottom of the sea floor even when its like 10+ block depth
bit like using nightvision hack
And another question how to adjust the 3d clouds so there is more of them, and maybe remove the depth of them so they aren't so dark on the underneath.

Minecraft will use as much as you give it to render chunks as fast as possible. I personally allocate 12GB for Java to use and it still comes close to hitting that target sometimes.
You have 16GB installed so unless for some reason you need multiple other applications running at the same time, you should comfortably be able to allocate 8GB to Java/Minecraft.
Syclone told me that I can remove the blue color of sky in SEUS but I can't find how. Does somebody know how I can do that? Plus, if I can remove the blue color of the water and the yellowish color of lightning source it will be very great as well... Thanks in advance.

Hi Cynips and DontBeCursed,
To change the water color or transparency of water:
Open "gbuffers_water.fsh" with Notepad++ (NOT Standard Microsoft Notepad),
Line 353 will look like this:
tex = vec4(0.1f, 0.7f, 1.0f, 210.0f/255.0f);
The color of the water is effected by the first 3 numbers, RGB. The last 2 numbers effect the opacity.
RGB = Red, Green, Blue.
Regarding Light Sources:
Off the top of my head I can't remember the lines that affect the Color only the brightness, I'll have a look later and see if I can find it again.
Regarding Clouds:
Use this guide "Here" to make your clouds look like this:

Post your PC's specs. And you better have a strong normal GPU and not just an Intel HD, like I mentioned to the other guy.
I do have Intel, unfortunately, as it turns out. So I guess, it won't work at all. Odd, I've never come across any issue like this before, though. Where does it say that it's incompatible within the original post? I never saw it, and I just looked, I don't see it.
Also, I haven't seen any pack prettier than this one. Can someone point me in the direction of something basically similar that might work with Intel? Skyrim does nothing, and Hex doesn't do anything good apart from wind animation.

This is from the GLSL Shader Core Mod:
This mod requires a relatively recent and fast graphic card.
Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders -- not compatible with OS X or Intel HD graphics
The reason it's not compatible is because Intel HD is not designed for gaming because it's "Not" a graphics card, it's an "iGPU". (This means it's a small part of your Processor that "Acts" like a very low powered Graphics Card.)
It's designed to give you enough graphical power to watch a HD movie, YouTube video or play a small basic game, not for running an extremely complex graphical mod. Don't think of this mod as a "Minecraft" mod, it's a Shader and shaders are Extremely demanding. They require a decent powerful computer to run them, some shaders like this one require more power to run them than most full complete games do like Battlefield, Skyrim or Call of Duty! There are members on here with brand new top of the range $500 graphics cards that struggle to run this shader pack.
what is the difference between the lite, ultra, normal, and ultra DOP versions ?
Hi wolffillms,
Lite = A decent amount of lighting effects and tweaks, plus very low-res shadows, and some water improvements. A low to mid-range gaming PC should be able to run it at a playable frame-rate.
(Fairly demanding on Graphical Processing Power)
Standard = Same as above but with a lot more lighting effects including AO (Ambient Occlusion), medium-res shadows, reflections and clouds. A fairly decent and powerful PC is required to run it.
(Quite high demand on Graphical Processing Power)
Ultra = Same as above but with even more lighting effects, SSAO (Screen Space Ambient Occlusion), very high-res shadows, options for Puddles when raining and POM (Parallax Occlusion Mapping) (AKA 3D Textures) and few more tweaks and improvements. A Very powerful mid to high-end gaming PC is needed just to get the bare minimum playable frame-rate.
(Very demanding on Graphical Processing Power)
DoF= Depth of Field. The realistic depth perception you have when looking at objects that are near or far away. See this picture for an example:
i've just installed this shaders and now i have problem. I have strange black shadows above the clouds, like that: http://imgur.com/y3WxvIe
Can anyone help me?
Regards,
Stig.
Hi CraftStig, ok there is a few things here that could be the cause, so follow the instructions below and let me know if or which one was the cause.
1# - Disable in-game Vanilla Minecraft clouds. SEUS has it's own clouds so the MC ones are not needed.
2# - Force Disable "Anisotropic Filtering" in your Nvidia or AMD Control Panel.
3# - Disable "in-game" Anisotropic Filtering and Anti-Aliasing.
3# - Update your graphics card driver from your manufactures website (Nvidia or AMD) v14.4 is the latest for AMD and 337.88 is the latest Nvidia driver. (Not including Beta's)

Hi Thimbleskull, just one quick thing, could you please use the search bar at the top of the forum to search a thread before posting in future, as your question has been asked and answered hundreds/thousands of times already, thank you
Anyway, the cause of this error is your Laptop is using your Intel HD graphics iGPU instead of your Nvidia card. So follow the guide below and it will fix the problem.
But please bare in mind that shaders are "Extremely" demanding on graphical power and your Nvidia GT 740m is a fair bit underpowered compared to recommended "Minimum" card required to run SEUS at a playable level, so I strongly recommend you try the Standard version of SEUS and you may also need to drop your render distance and/or play on windowed mode to get playable FPS.
Black Screen With Small Boxes/Windows Fix:
You need to open your Nvidia Control Panel and set the "Preferred Graphics Processor" to Nvidia, NOT Auto or Intel.
It dosen't work for me, it goes like this rainbowy colour on the down left corner and it says error on like comp.1 and etc... so i took them out but still doesn't work.
how do i add in a picture? I want to show it to you guys what i mean....
With shaders, when looking away from the sun, some large area shadows vanish/or are spotty, would disabling the unique sun/moon orbit fix this?
Hi TheFireRodan, this is not a problem with the shader it's a common problem with OptiFine. If you had read the OptiFine description it does clearly mention it and that you need to Disable "Threaded Optimisation" in your Nvidia or AMD control panel.

Ok but did you read the reply to that message which explain the reason and fix for this issue??? It's just a couple of posts above..... and on the previous page.... and the page before that and the page before that.....
Ok. So I'm looking at this graphics card. It's a MSI R9 270X GAMING 2G Graphics card - 2 GB - GDDR5 SDRAM
It costs $198.99 USD $5.99 shipping no tax with a 5/5 user rating from 4 reviews.
1) Can it run this shader pack?
2) If so, is it worth the money?
Thanks so much.
Hi EruhkzorLOL, yes the 270X would be able to run SEUS without a doubt as long as the rest of your system is up to it.
What I mean is:
Can your PSU (Power Supply) run it? IIRC the minimum for a MSI 270X is 500w (Based on a good quality PSU) and 2x 6-Pin PCI-E connectors.
Is your CPU fairly decent? Reasonably fast....???
And what about your Motherboard? As long as it's not some unknown $9.95 trash off eBay, you should be fine.
As long as you've got those covered, you will just fine
A 270X will run SEUS Ultra at 1080p with just about playable FPS but not amazing, you may need to lower your render distance and tweak a setting or two.
Below 1080p like 768p you will be golden, but above 1080p you definitely need a better card.
As for the price, well $200 is about the going rate for a branded 270X and it's pretty much worth the cash......... although I would add that both the GLSL Shader Core and SEUS were both designed and optimised on Nvidia cards, so AMD cards do seem to struggle that little bit more. So just an idea, the Nvidia GTX 760 is on Newegg for $230 + $4 shipping if you could stretch to it. There isn't a "Massive" difference between them but the Nvidia card is in 90% of circumstances a more powerful card and should run SEUS a bit better. Anyway just an idea.
