alright i made sure i updated my grafic card and that it was with sky off blablabla..
but now i have a weird bug, okay now when i stand with my back against the sun i see on the ground infront of me only white with transparent blocks inside them and when i turn around it just looks fine (so my front is now looking at the sun(well the direction)).
sooo thats my problem btw this is the shader folder:(think it was) bumps-shadows-optifine-required.
when i plunk in shadwos-optifine-required then it all fine but i still want to know what this bug is
Mods i use:
cjb's modpack
modloader
optfine
and this one
i have average fps atm ~30 a intelcore i5 and 4gb ram (a gt520 1024mb 48 cores(or smthing))
i will go check what the other shaders show
k i think its something with the bumpmaping
I get that very glitch when trying to use bumpmapping. IMHO bumpmapping is really not something that minecraft would benefit from.
Great mod. I'm wanting to continue my LP with this, but all I want is the Dynamic Shadows part of it. Is there anyway to just have that part of the mod? (is it as simple as just adding the shadow shader file into the jar?)

would be nice to be able to turn off the motion blur completely...
human eyes DONT have motion blur... our brains ignore it... that's why the 1 second clock illusion exists...
Since having alot of posts makes it difficult to check if this problem has occurred before... does installing mods Optifine 1.1 preview with MCpatcher and then using the DynamicShadows installer make the mod not work? That's what I did and Optifine is working but there is no trace of shadows anywhere as if it wasn't installed at all. It appears to have added DOF though.
well ur shaders are at default atm
go to the mods folder(inside the zip u downloaded)there should be a map called shaders 2x click that then click alternative shaders.
u will now see some shaders(the bumpmaping shaders are bugged for some including me:( )motion sickness is more with the movment.
u should pick shadows-optfine-required. ctrl c those files (that are inside this map)
then go to ur minecraft.jar open it with 7-zip or winrar or what ever.
in that u should see a map called shaders(between paulscode and terrain) open it
delete the files inside this map and paste the files from shadows-optifine-required inside and u will be ready to go.
(if u want to switch back just copy the files from "default"(from the zip or rar)in ur shaders folder in the minecraft.jar
hope this helped u! :biggrin.gif:
Hm... let me get it straight since you're referring to things abit differently.
1. Go to .../[This Mod]/Shaders/Alternate Shaders
2. Copy files from inside preferred shader(s) folder.
3. Open minecraft.jar and delete all files in Shaders folder.
4. Paste preferred shader(s) files in Shaders folder.
5. Close minecraft.jar
Okay, that makes sense. I'll try that. If I can suggesting something, it would of been more convenient if I can just choose shaders from the installer itself. That way, it'll wipe the shader folder and then put the files in there every time.
I got this weird problem after i installed the mod. The shadows are not working for me, only the original minecraft circles, and i get this strange huge shadow. Farther i go up, less laggy i get, and the circle decreases. Any ideas?
"You may have noticed a motion blur shader and bokeh dof shader. These are VERY beta and probably don't work properly. If both are enabled at the same time, all shaders fail. Keep them disabled unless you want to see how they're looking for now."
I think I have them enabled, because I am not getting any shadows, how do I disable them?
When I have the mod installed, I have 3-4 fps... How can I change that to a smoother amount?
As taken from first post.
"Go to "Options..." and make sure that your FOV is set to Normal (all the way to the left). Then open up Video Settings and then Details and turn off Sky if you want to eliminate shadows being drawn on the sky. Go back to Video Settings and then click on Other, and enable Smooth FPS. This setting improves my performance by quite a bit."
This mod looks absolutely amazing above ground at a first glance. I can't wait till the major bugs are locked down and you've worked out something to do about indoor/underground areas. Keep up the amazing work!

Very untrue. I'm quite passionate about this argument and the human eye/brain definitely perceives motion blur. You're just so used to seeing it that you don't realize it's there, but that doesn't mean that it's not there. Sure, it's not a frame-by-frame effect because we don't see vision in frames, but do this for me. Put your hand in front of your monitor and shake it like a maniac and tell me it's not blurry. Look at the rims of cars on the freeway and tell me you can see every little spoke and indent. Rapidly aim your eyes up and down and tell me it doesn't blur everything.
Whew sorry, keepin it too real. You can disable motion blur by editing final.fsh in minecraft.jar/Shaders and commenting out the line that defines it (put "//" in front of #define MOTIONBLUR).
I put motion blur in there for a reason. 1, it's an effect perceived by cameras AND the human eye. 2, it makes lower framerates look more aesthetically pleasing and tolerable. Though, I will say, this motion blur shader is still flawed.
Oh, and disabling shadows isn't quite as easy as editing one line in final.fsh. Shadows are in composite.fsh and I haven't implemented a switchable variable that turns them on and off yet. I'll go do that right now.

I tried this method but it still doesn't work for some reason unknown to me. Is it critical that I use a specific version of Optifine 1.1 preview for this to work? There's been three of them released so far.
Edit: I tried it without using Optifine 1.1 Preview and this seems to be causing the problem (or maybe because I'm using Java 64-bit). Of course, blocks in the distance are now flashing like a disco ball and only Steve's shadow is visible. So which version of Optifine 1.1 Preview is required for this version? A, A1, or A2?

Do you have a version for 1.0?
