I have been getting loads of minecraft crashes while using shaders. everything from Error 8 which has been addressed, as well as java crashes and shaders render issues. I tried reinstalling, Nvidia graphics drivers, Java and minecraft. Nothing helped. I then decided to play with the latest version of optifine and Edi shaders 10.2preview and had a go at it one setting at a time. I found my answer and I hope it helps others.
Under Video Settings, quality, mipmaps, you have 2 of them at the top.
I Set the first to number 3 and the second to the lowest setting.
Strangely enough, 2 days without a crash from minecraft with or without shaders.
Have a go, hope this helps. Not saying this is the answer but it may help
I did thank you very much. I have installed this before the way I did it this time but its not working. I think its a glitch with the GLSL mod and AMD not being friends
Optifine's recent versions with Shadersmod built in will have a way to fix the whole "blocks behind the player not rendering in 1.8", am I correct? This means shaders will finally be playable on 1.8.

I couldn't even begin to understand this, any help would be much appreciated. I have all of the required versions for 1.8.8 Not really sure what is wrong.
Edit: nevermind, I think it must be because I am on 1.8.8 instead of 1.8. Stupid me and not seeing that in the instructions.
Not sure man, I haven't been around here in a while. The 380 is a newer GPU than my 280x, and should have less issues, but you know how shaders are. I'll mess with shaders when the weekend comes around, I'm in finals right now.
Haven't strangled anyone or got myself banned yet (though I do get warnings occasionally) ...
Guess my tolerance for the "average Minecraft user" is high enough. Helps that the volume of "cheap laptop + shaders" posters got waay down.
Of course now we have loads of "installed Windows 10 on a toaster" posters.
That's all well and good. I got my only ever threat of a ban from this thread. I may stick around here a bit more.

I seem to have a strange bug with SEUS. First of all. My hand is transparent when I look in the sky.
There was a computer dating back to Adam and Eve. An apple, and a very bad one at that, it only took 1 byte to crash everything.
"If they say IT IS Opposite day .. doesn't that mean IT ISN'T?
The Opposite of Opposite day is Normal day. so in turn, there will never be an opposite day. "
Ehh. I cant seem to find and/or install the 14.9 / 15.1 beta drivers. That is another problem. Other than that. The shader is completely functional

so your saying the shaders CANNOT be udes w/ inted graphics?
Yes, only very powerfull PC's can run this shader well.
Creator of Oceano Shaders, feel free to contact me via the Shader Labs discord server found here
i really like the shaders, but i can see the sun through everything, what is the fix
Can you add reflection when it's raining?
Hello there,
Since installing your shader I keep getting this stacktrace upon the crashing of minecraft: http://hastebin.com/gilukoguri.vhdl
I did thank you very much. I have installed this before the way I did it this time but its not working. I think its a glitch with the GLSL mod and AMD not being friends
Here you go; http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/latest-catalyst-windows-beta.aspx
Hello grimallq, surprised you're still here.
These forums are dumb and break my links. I'm bubbleawsome on steam too.
Optifine's recent versions with Shadersmod built in will have a way to fix the whole "blocks behind the player not rendering in 1.8", am I correct? This means shaders will finally be playable on 1.8.
Don't challenge me, I read that. Same version I used last time
Its an AMD thing, Always had that problem
I am getting a crash upon initializing GLSL Shaders. Here is the crash log.
