thought i would share this here, I have been modding Sonic Ethers Shaders for over a year now and I have made a video change log of most of the changes i have made to this Incredible Minecraft shader.

also to anyone that missed his live stream a while back when he first showed off his Global Illumination and Volumetric Light I was able to save it and have edited it into a shorter video for everyone to watch.
Well I don't know for sure, but it seems that the new Optifine 1.8.0 HD U C2 is not compatible with ShadersMod 2.4.6 for 1.8 ?
Because I have less options that I had back then with Optifine B 6. Still I always had only 100 FPS and with Shaders even 10 FPS.

Oh I think I know why you're not getting very high fps, it may be because you have a very high resolution texture pack. I noticed it looks like you have R3D.Craft texture pack on. Try using a different, lower-resolution texture pack with a lower render distance and see what fps you get? And by the way, read karyonix's GLSL shaders thread, the latest 1.8 shaders mod update, he says that Optifine Ultra B6 is slightly compatible with his shaders mod but still has glitches. His shaders mod is still in alpha, anyway. Try running shaders on 1.7.10, too.

So with the new GTX 970 water fix it brought up a new problem, when it rains, the ground doesn't get wet anymore. It seems that with changing the files to fix the water bug, you change something else and it disables that feature. I really like that feature of SEUS and would really like to re-enable that.

For heavens sake man use spoilers! But really did you not read the full description of the shaders? I assume you are running this on a laptop with intel HD graphics because 95% of people coming on here and posting the same thing like this are. The shaders can't run with those crappy intel based graphics. These shaders require a high end graphics card to run.
Said the person who knows nothing about PC's Zuttiqgo-next upgrade your proccessor to a Intel core i5 4690k. And he WILL run the shaders at 60fps if he upgrades

This happens to all items in item frames, and the the bows that skeletons hold.
The only mods I am using are Ingame Info XML, Optifine, and VoxelMap. If I switch to using the default texture pack, it still happens. If I disable Optifine, it still happens. (I haven't tried disabling VoxelMap yet, but that seems like a weird incompatibility...)
Do you own an AMD GPU? Looks like an AMD driver issue. It's not the shaderpack's fault, but the lack of compatibility between the recent versions of Catalyst and the Shader Mod Core.

The only way I know to solve this is downgrading the Catalyst version, unfortunately. I completely uninstalled the 14.12 version that I was using and installed the 14.9.
Downgrading drivers its not very good for many reasons, but I couldn't find any other way. If you discover a setting tweak that solve this, please share

Guess I'll just bite the bullet and downgrade for now. What a pain in the rear. Thanks for the info though, I at least know the fix now.

Unfortunately there is no fix for the "glowing" tools (and sword) when approaching a light source.
Oh I think I know why you're not getting very high fps, it may be because you have a very high resolution texture pack. I noticed it looks like you have R3D.Craft texture pack on. Try using a different, lower-resolution texture pack with a lower render distance and see what fps you get? And by the way, read karyonix's GLSL shaders thread, the latest 1.8 shaders mod update, he says that Optifine Ultra B6 is slightly compatible with his shaders mod but still has glitches. His shaders mod is still in alpha, anyway. Try running shaders on 1.7.10, too.

My PC Specs
For heavens sake man use spoilers! But really did you not read the full description of the shaders? I assume you are running this on a laptop with intel HD graphics because 95% of people coming on here and posting the same thing like this are. The shaders can't run with those crappy intel based graphics. These shaders require a high end graphics card to run.

Yes,I know nothing about PC. I am still learning after all.
The only mods I am using are Ingame Info XML, Optifine, and VoxelMap. If I switch to using the default texture pack, it still happens. If I disable Optifine, it still happens. (I haven't tried disabling VoxelMap yet, but that seems like a weird incompatibility...)
Any ideas on how to fix this?

Yeah, I am. I'm using a 7970, actually. Is there possibly a setting in the Catalyst control center I can disable to fix the issue?
The only way I know to solve this is downgrading the Catalyst version, unfortunately. I completely uninstalled the 14.12 version that I was using and installed the 14.9.
Downgrading drivers its not very good for many reasons, but I couldn't find any other way. If you discover a setting tweak that solve this, please share
