Hey, Doubt you remember me but i'm an nvidia gtx 750 ti user. Just did this:
//CloudPlane(surface);
And omfg I love you. Seriously let's get married... RIGHT NOW! Nah jk...
But yeah it fixed it and I love you so much TYYYYY No more dumb looking water!!! All 750 ti users need to follow what he said to do.
What do you mean by doing this (//CloudPlane(surface);)
Does this work with 1.7.9 aka the latest version(s) of Minecraft?
Anyone using 1.7.9, tell this to the owner of the server that you go to: Server owners wanting to use the shaders or any other mod without losing players that use 1.7.9, considering the current modding situation (Mcp in 1.7.5((I think...)), Forge in 1.7.2, Magic launcher in 1.7.4 etc.), there's a version of bukkit out there called Spigot that'll make it to where users from 1.7.2-1.7.9 can join your server no problem.
I hope this helps those of you stuck on 1.7.9

Mostly I mean how bright the sunlight rays themselves are, and how bright it makes it in places like a desert valley. I think it is how the light hits the surface that is also overwhelming, but to a lesser extent. Yeah, if there was any way I could turn that down, that would be great. As for the lag, I just switched to the standard shader, which lags significantly less on vanilla worlds, at the least, and the game still looks better because of it. I just really like the lighting effects the shader adds, which no other shader seems to do. When I was using my wand with a lightning focus from Thaumcraft, it actually looked like lightning and was VERY beautiful in dark places, and not just lightless blue streaks coming from the wand. I felt like I was in a Harry Potter movie.
Yes the standard has a few subtle differences like lower quality shadows that allow it to run smoother.
Anyway, to reduce the overall ambient light from the sun, follow this guide:
Open "composite.fsh" with Notepad++ (NOT standard Microsoft Notepad, only use Notepad++)
Locate line "2225", which reads:
Reducing the number will reduce the ambient light. Depending on how bright your monitor is, the changes may be subtle so you may need to lower it significantly.
Hi MonthOLDpickle, as with any bug report, no one can help you if we don't know what you are using. We need details of your PC hardware, Graphics card and driver version, CPU, RAM..... Mainly you Graphics Card and Driver, without those we can not help at all.
Also which versions of the Shader Core mod, SEUS and Minecraft you're using.
Hey, it's an easy fix. It's been answered hundreds of times already on here. Just go into Nvidia Control Panel and Force Disable Anisotropic Filtering.
That's it, simples
Hello, we need you PC specs to be able to help. CPU and most importantly GPU (Graphics Card).
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q8400 @ 2.66GHz 2.66GHz
Installed memory (RAM): 4.00 GB (3.50 GB usable)
System type: 32-bit Operating System
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT
Those are my Computer Specs and I can run Minecraft around 300 FPS with them, (With the help of Optifine Of Course).
Thanks in advanced as well =D

Hi MineCube76, ok the reason why your FPS is dropping to 0, is simply because shaders are so extremely demanding on graphical processing power and I'm sorry to say the Nvidia 9800GT is quite far away from the minimum recommended graphics card to run SEUS. The 650Ti or 7870 are recommended as the minimum and those 2 cards have twice the processing power of a 9800GT and 4 times the VRAM.
I would strongly recommend not trying to use 10.1 or any version that is Ultra, try to use version 10.0 Lite or maybe Standard, also reduce you render distance in-game and lower all settings possible.
Also, you need to make sure you have updated your Nvidia driver to the latest version, currently 337.88 released about a week ago.
So, I was trying it out for the first time; I was on 1.7.5, with the shadersmod, and so I opened options, clicked the SEUS v10.1 Ultra that I had installed (It was a .zip file in the little list of shaders; is that wrong?) Anyway, I hit the button, and, BOOM! A huge lag spike. Ok, I figured, that's to be expected... then I changed all the options you told us to (which took like 20 minutes with the lag) and pressed, DONE. And then, the whole screen went black. Shoot. But in the corner.... there was a miniature, blurry, version of what I should be seeing. Oh no. I could tell the shaderpack was on, cause the trees were moving. But there were more little screens, kind of going up in a little trail, getting smaller and smaller as it went, then sort of diagonal, before fading out. "Wow," I said, "I reeeaally must've screwed up this time....." so I looked at the way you need to set up the folders.... check. right versions....check. Everything seemed to be perfectly set up, so I tried again, and evidently, it wasn't. I'm running Windows 8. I had no mods, or forge, or Optifine, or anything besides the shadersmod, and the shader. If I should have any of those, please tell me. ( I would love to show a picture, but I could not figure out how to put a screenshot on here (or make it a spoiler) to save my life.) Thank you!

We need your driver version.
Okay... Thanks for letting me know though, and do you know any shaderpacks that my Computer may be able to run? If so just reply on this post, Thanks!
which version should i download for 1.6.4 minecraft?
Any version SEUS is compatible with "All" versions of Minecraft, you just need the correct version of the GLSL Shader Core mod for it to work.
So as long as you have the version of GLSL Shader Core for 1.6.4 then download any version of SEUS you want. But be warned that you need a modern and "Very" powerful PC to run SEUS.

Hi CheeseTheChicken,
Ok, in order to help you we need your computers hardware specs, Graphics Card and Driver version mainly, without this we can not help.
Also to add a screenshot, you need to upload your picture to a host or sharing site like http://imgur.com/ or http://tinypic.com/
Then use the "Direct Link" it will give you for your picture which will look something like this: "ht tp://i.imgur.com/j...64864efwef.png" Then when you are writing a post click the little "Picture" icon and paste the link to your picture.

Okay... Thanks for letting me know though, and do you know any shaderpacks that my Computer may be able to run? If so just reply on this post, Thanks!
Well CUDA Shaderpack is very nice and has a lot of features that SEUS has, it also runs better as it doesn't have some of the more demanding effects. Ziipzaap's Shaderpack is also pretty good.
Chocapic13's Shaders also very good.
Hmmm, that's strange to get this issue with the latest drivers. What version of MC are you running and what is the exact version of SEUS and Shader Core you have installed??? Example: SEUS 10.1 Preview 2 and GLSL Shader Core v.2.3.12.
Someone did already reply to you Thedusk, the post directly under yours was the reply to you asking you for more info.
The reply says: "We'll need your computer specs, especially GPU and drivers version."
Which is correct, without that info no one can help.
I have a intel core i7 2.2Ghz Nvidia GeForce GTX 760M (GeForce 337.88 Driver) Intel® HD Graphics 4600 ( 15.33.19.64.3540 Driver) 8 Go RAM
Ok, you need to read my "SEUS Bug Fixes and Improvements Guide" in my signature below. Scroll down to line 133 and carefully read the instructions for "Laptop and Notebook Users Only".
This will fix the issue
No no no, don't set it for "Minecraft.exe" that's just the MC Launcher, not that game itself. Set if "Globally", so "All" programs and games use your Nvidia card. You don't want anything using Intel HD as it's very basic and low powered.
And i don't know if i can send more messages because i have this You can make 2 more posts until Today, 07:11 PM. This restriction is in place until you have 3 more approved posts
Ok no worries, that will definitely fix the issue.
Wow! Fantastic mod! I've been using this for some time now and it's just so amazing! So i decided i wanted to make a cinematic. Hope you like it (i also used one other shaderpack but that is only like 2 clips)
What's the problem, I don't see an issue with the picture, looks normal That looks far out trippy man, Sorry just kidding of course. Please ignore me and see grimallq's "Sensible" reply
