Let's face it, outside is almost always brighter than inside in real life. When I go outside into my large yard and come back in to my fully lit house it looks quite dim for a few minutes until my eyes adjust.
Furnaces only make as much light as a torch; see my comment above.
Yeah, don't disagree with you, but do a experiment. Grab some torches and some wood, a door and a furnace + coal or what ever. Build a little house without any windows and ****. Place the torches and the furnace inside, fire it. Get outside, your walls should glow in an unrealistic brightness. And this even the stuff is inside your house with the door closed.
I have a big problem, i did everything right but i dont get the shadows, i have a circle around me that's white and I am on a iMac so it should be fast!
Even put the fastest settings...
Okay guys, don't think that I forgot about this mod, I'm still working on a few things for the next update. I have changed the moving grass and leaves quite a bit now. Their movement is now only related to the direction of wind, which is north east. I'm trying to diminish the "jello" look that the video in my first post has. I need to fix a few things about motion blur but I might wait until the next update to fix those things, since it might take a while and I want to push out the new features I've added to you guys so you can enjoy them. This next version should run a lot smoother for most people, also. I'll keep you guys updated. :smile.gif:
Okay, plz. That's so wrong. Only because you are using a super-uber designed too expensive computer, it doesn't mean it's fast. Like it could be 6 years old. And also it's java.
No and that's not how it should look like. Maybe a complete reinstall will fix it.
When I start playing I install it correctly but I get blue particles on the screen and begin to lag and my PC is fine I'm not sure if it's my graphics card or what but it's not working.
Most of the time, when I launch minecraft, it just crashes when I try to load any world. Next, If it does work, 1/20 times, it's just all blue, and my inventory is all black. Tried looking at what I think is the ground, and opening my inventory, and it still doesn't fix it. Running Quad core Intel i5's with an Intel HD graphics card on my laptop. I'd really like to uninstall as this isn't working, and probably won't. Any Ideas without a complete reinstall of minecraft.
Hey, nice mod, but I don't want to use the Installer just to get the files in my Minecraft.jar
I use Mod Loader to get my mods in-game so I would like to be able to get a version with just the files and no installer since I don't want to have to try to rip the files out of the installer manually into a .zip and screw up.
I see two problems with that, I love the sky ^^ But for testing purpose I've disabled clouds (Option: Clouds: Off) and there are still shadows on the sky.
How much minecraft normally uses memory? I run it via default, (just downloaded it from MC net, opened and it's working sweet without any problems), and I have 2GB of memory in my PC only. When I check how much java uses while I play it's usually from 700mb up to 1400 mb. (for most time it's 1gb up to 1400mb)
btw.
I don't check FPS metter, It's of no importance to me how much FPS i got in numbers. I measure it if the game playes smooth to me while I'm playing it and I barely see no difference in gameplay with and without the mods. It's playable, that's why I want to use it.
btw. PC I'm running this on is:
CPU: Pentium Dual Core e2160 overclocked and working at 3,20Ghz
2GB of DDR2 ram overclocked and working at 1066MHz
Windows 7 x64
Palit nVidia GTS450
In regards to the sky, disabling it only removes the skybox, the clouds, sun, stars and moon should still appear. There is almost no visual difference. If you want the shadows on the sky you must disable the sky. You probably wont even be able to tell the difference, I barely could.
Minecraft uses a rather low amount of memory, that works great for its normal rendering system. In most cases, you dont want to designate more than half your RAM to one program. Since you have 2, try allocating 1GB. I've got 2GB dedicated to minecraft, just in case, but 1 will probably resolve your issue, and give you a few more FPS.
In regards to FPS, anything below 30 will affect playability. I have 2 EVGA GTS 450 (too bad I cant get SLI working), overclocked to 900 Core Processes. Since we have essentially the same card, you probably get just little less than the same FPS as me. Which is 30. But occasionally, when you skim that close to 30fps, lots of items and characters on screen will cause too much lag to the point it is unplayable. Destroy a full chest in game, you'll see what I mean.

absolutely amazing :smile.gif:...but I hate the reliance on optifine >.<.....since many mods out there that i looove (like smart moving) just aren't compatible with optifine.

Looks epic but I can't use it because it needs an administrator password. can you fix this or make it so that I can install it manually? if you could I would love you forever.

I'm just a regular kid who likes to play games. 'nuff said.

Is there any way to use this mod with http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/542215-110-water-shader-alpha-v4d/ , because I think they would fit well together, but unfortunately one way or another while installing the Water Shader with this, I break my whole Minecraft.
Help appreciated, both are great mods.

Windows 7 x64
8GB Ram (DDR3 1333)
Intel i5 2500K
Make sure you have a clean Jar first
Can't wait, thanks for the update!
Before this, I was unable to see any difference except for the OptiFine menu changes.
