Well the dodgy looking sword is caused by POM (parallax occlusion mapping)
You have a couple of options on that, you can disable parallax for handheld items in gbuffers_hand.fsh (put // in front of #define POM), or in the texture pack the alpha value in gui/items_nh.png is too low. Fill the alpha channel in gui/items_nh.png with 255
Try taking your pics during the day so it's a bit easier to see what's going on
Uhm, is there a simpler solution? I have no idea how to edit the "alpha channel" and don't really want to mess with the files. Did I just install wrong?
It's a bit dark for me to see what's really doing on.
Editing the config files is easy, back everything up in case you make a mistake and you can't really go wrong.
Just find the gbuffers_hand.fsh file, open it with any text editor, look for #define POM and put // in front of it so you get //#define POM
Close the program and it'll ask if you want to save, click yes and you're done.
If you press save before you try to quit it'll ask you for the filename and the extension type, it's easy to get those wrong, so just quit after you finish editing and it'll sort out the filename and extension for you.
I opened gbuffers_hand.fsh but the line with #define POM looks like this:
//////////////////////////ADJUSTABLE VARIABLES/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////#define POM
so adding the // doesn't do anything
My computer keeps crashing when I use this mod when I was using those mods that let you use this mod (v8/9/10) in 1.4. Before I try this, do you think my computer will crash without using one of those mods? Here is one that I used:
Thanks for your help.
Oh, and I do get 100+ fps in Fullscreen without shaders and in fullscreen with shaders I get 15 fps. Can't stand it. But great mod overall. Its amazing.
I've been trying to install this mod, but I keep getting this strange error in the installer.

It happens every time I hit the Install Mods button, and I don't really know what to do about it. Has this happened to anyone else? Did I forget to do something?
Someone pointed out to me that the shaderpack that I uploaded was a .rar instead of a .zip which would cause installation errors. I just fixed that now.
For anyone with errors installing v10 RC7, go re-download and put the .zip in your shaderpacks folder where the .rar was. Shaderpacks can only be read as .zip files or as folders.
Yeah I think you may have broken the formatting by using notepad as it doesn't display it properly, the easy way to correct it is to put the cursor 2 // before #define POM and hitting enter a couple of times.

Successfully installed and tested. Shadowed spots at night are pitch black, requires to increase brightness in vid settings. Underwater deeper than 2 block starts becoming pitch black, if clear water set to on this doesn't happen. Shadowy effect on water waves produce a stuttering effect like an update lag when moving.

Hey, there is a bug where if you stand close to a block with your right side, your hand, or the block in your hand will go inside of that block. Another thing, may not be a bug but looks very strange, is that underwater the 4th block will have low light, and the 3rd block will have a lot of light, so it looks very strange. Also spiders look like they are out of focus, no matter what angle they are looked at.
EDIT: Fixed my issue, I didn't read step #14 correctly:
14. Once in the Minecraft main menu, click "Options" and then "Shaders" and select the shaderpack you downloaded before, then click "Done". Shaderpacks work much like texturepacks in that you can install many and switch between them at any time.
I can't get it to work. Here's my Magic Launcher setup:
And the SEUS v10 RC7 Ultra.zip is located in my .minecraft/shaderpacks folder.
Load up Magic Launcher, start up Minecraft, start a new game, nothing happens, it's still vanilla.
This is what it looks like in vanilla Minecraft:
With SEUS installed:
With SEUS and Ovo's - Rustic texture pack
How can I fix this?
