Does your aux.class gets renamed when you place it into your Jar? If yes, try to rename it back to aux.class while the file is inside the jar. That's how I understood that thread.

Huh, I had just tested changing a file's extension to .class, not the full file name. When doing the full thing, I do get an error message, but it says "the specified device name is invalid." Weird.

There are a good amount of names that windows reserves actually. You could possibly google a list for it.

Lol, my installer? You mean SEUS installer, you need to ask him; not here though, but on his Facebook page.
2. Extract these files in separate folders
OptiFine_1.4.0_HD_U_A1.zip
SEUS v10 RC5 for Minecraft 1.3.1.zip
Shaders-2.1.6-mod-mc1.4pre.zip
3. Make a backup copy of original minecraft.jar, just in case.
4. Install Optifine
4.1 Make a copy of minecraft.jar v1.4 (pre-release) named minecraft-1.4p-o.jar .
4.2 Open minecraft-1.4p-o.jar in WinRAR or 7-zip
4.3 Copy all files from OptiFine_1.4.0_HD_U_A1 into minecraft-1.4p-o.jar .
4.4 Delete META-INF in minecraft-1.4p-o.jar
4.5 Close WinRAR or 7-zip
5. Prepare installer for GLSL Shader mod + SEUS
5.1 Copy all files in SEUS v10 RC5 for Minecraft 1.3.1\Shaders Only
to Shaders-2.1.6-mod-mc1.4pre\Shaders\mods\shaders\contents\files\shaders
6. Run nitrous
6.1 Make a copy of minecraft-1.4p-o.jar named minecraft-1.4p-seus.jar
6.2 Run inst.exe or nitrous.jar in Shaders-2.1.6-mod-mc1.4pre\Shaders
6.3 In nitrous, select tab Options. Browse for your minecraft-1.4p-seus.jar
6.4 Go back to tab Local Mod. There should be 1 Mod.
6.5 Make sure your minecraft-1.4p-seus.jar is not opened in other programs.
6.6 Click Install.
6.7 Click View Log. Check error message.
6.8 Close nitrous.
7. Prepare texture
7.1 Make a copy of Ovo's Rustic v2.1.2.zip named Ovo's Rustic SEUS.zip
7.2 Open Ovo's Rustic SEUS.zip in WinRAR or 7-zip
7.3 Copy everything in SEUS v10 RC5 for Minecraft 1.3.1\Ovo's SEUS Patch to Ovo's Rustic SEUS.zip
7.4 Delete custom_water_*.png in Ovo's Rustic SEUS.zip
7.5 Close WinRAR or 7-zip
8. If you use Magic Launcher, you can just click Setup and Select then browse for minecraft-1.4p-seus.jar.
If your want to run it from normal Minecraft Launcher, rename minecraft-1.4p-seus.jar to minecraft.jar.
9. Login and change settings.
Texture Packs > Ovo's Rustic SEUS.zip
Option... > Video Settings... >
Chunk Loading: Default
Option... > Video Settings... > Quality... >
Mipmap Level: Max
Mipmap Type: Linear
Anisotropic Filtering: OFF
Antialiasing: OFF
Custom Colors: ON
Connected Textures: OFF
Natural Textures: OFF
Done

If unsupported texture pack has its own lightmap, this does not work though.
It still has some problems.
Hand (or item in hand) looks transparent and also funny when there is water behind it.

Yes, you need Ovo's texture pack because, as far as I know, it's the only supported TP at this moment. Although, I read somewhere that the Photo Realism texture pack has support for v10 rc5.
Anyways, as for Ovos's TP, I personally, don't like this pack--like some have stated already---but to be fair, the bump maps and reflections really makes this TP more beautiful and interesting than its original.
As for your second question: no, you don't need to download GLSL. Everything that you need is here; just follow SEUS install instructions.

I have updated some texture packs to version 1.4.2 the water shaders works and also the normal mapping. you can also use the texture packs for lower version, but you still need sonics shaders mod for them.
